Beautiful looking sweaters but you know what I'm going to say.... every single one has a pitiful amount of natural material (wool). Souffle yarn is just another name for plastic. When I see that they have produced Uniqlo U sweaters in wool at similar price points, I see that it can be done.
after trying a lot of "fancy" plastic yarns over the years, I decided to stay away from that stuff. They usually don't age well and look cheap after a few wears and washes, and also the body climate they produce is mostly terrible and sweaty. Do yourself a favor and always spend the extra amount for 80%+ wool sweaters.
@@HotDilf I tried on the jacket, it is really good for the price. I do wish the buttons were reinforced but other than that it is great. Had to size down one as I went too big on it and cant wait to rock it.
It's kind of the reason why i never bought souffle yarn. No doubt it will last longer than wool, but as you mentioned, I'm wearing the lambswool jumper out and about atm, so it's definitely possible to make it 100% wool. I'm just curious as to how it differs.
@@Westlake72it’s hit and miss with lots of their stuff. This season seems like a big mix of quality. Their 100% Cotton t-shirts are still perfection for me at least
When you get the off white jeans, can you please tell us the measurement for the overall length, and the leg opening measurement. Leg opening width important to know to see how they will fit ontop of shoes, thanks
Wool pieces should always be 80%+ wool. I dont mind 20% of nylon to help reinforce it to add durability but I simply refuse to buy anything with less than that now.
I think the biggest issue most people have is the composition of the fabric. There's quite a high percentage of poly, which isn't always something people like. I'm learning to overlooking it
If the flannels is anything like the previous flannels, theyre super soft due to being brushed. I own one and it is so comfortable, but these do look maybe a bit thicker.
Hello, new to the channel. I was surprised to hear you say that you're not a fan of the shirts. Do you mean just the flannel or all shirts? I've been thinking that Uniqlo offers unbeatable value and I always get a bunch of dress shirts for work when they are on sale. Any alternatives to consider? Thanks.
I meant shirts that are released in C, U or JW Anderson line. Their dress shirts I do have 2 of them and when it's on sale it's good price. However in the UK there are plenty of suit brands that make good dress shirts, Charles Tyrwhitt, Moss, Hawes & Curtis. They always have multi-buy offers which makes it cheaper than Uniqlo, but also have a much wider range of options.
it's from studio nicholson, they don't sell it anymore but this is the closest to it: www.studionicholson.com/products/graph-denim-jacket-in-fossil?_pos=13&_sid=ba680d7f6&_ss=r&_gl=1*10zmw2i*_up*MQ..&gclid=Cj0KCQjw3vO3BhCqARIsAEWblcA-JHjNC1iPNXcju7KnXlvfuD--WdEJVCrR9SndaNFSovKff_scB3IaAjOFEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
Ughh cmon... I know they wanna keep costs down but they should really be springing for more premium materials if it's a collab. I mean a "5% wool sweater" lmfao are you serious The only thing that's not synthetic are the flannel shirts, and even they look thin af from the imgs.
@@UnimportantAcc I totally agree. We need to call Uniqlo out at every opportunity on this. Stop making plastic shit. They should use their leadership position in the market to do the right thing.
@@michaellima6272 what annoys me is they spend more money on inventing and trademarking all these fancy names for what it just a plastic blend. Should've spent all that extra money on proper materials...
To be honest, not really feeling this collection. The overcoat looks nice, but all the souffle yarn stuff just don't do it for me. Also, the flannel shirts are kinda meh as well? The pleated wide trousers are literally just other colorways for the already current popular ones with the more basic colors. And i'm really wondering for how long this wide trouwers trend is gonna stick. I like the video though. Good summary and insights of all the items. Thanks!
i have owned few pieces of uniqlo x jwa collection in the past, NOT impressed at all, the quality just meh......Personally, among all the collaborations, I think J+ was overall the best, then I'd say U collection.
Thanks! Yeah that’s fair, I’ve not bought any soufflé jumpers before but I really like the design of these. I never bought any JWA stuff, they had always been a bit too colourful for me but overall I like the execution of this one!
everytine i go to the Uniqlo site everything is sold out and the site navigation is suckass. I don't get what all the noise about this brand even is - it's really just Japaneese for the Gap.
I love the look of these pieces, but I REFUSE to buy acrylic. It fucking sucks. And I hate how because JW is attached to it they can charge an extra $20-30 for each piece. Winter and fall is where wool shines and should be used more. Not 8%, at that point dont even add it.
Wool is hands down the best natural materials for any weather, depending on the micron of the wool & how its knitted or woven. I am from Australia & we produce a lot of merino wool. Every year, the innovation in wool manufacturing is amazing. My favourite brand is icebreaker from new Zealand, they are famous for their 100% merino wool products. Yes they also use nylon but their knits are usually all merino.
I was surprised when they released the Uniqlo U Merino jumper but it's a blend rather than 100%. Again, there are 100% available so unsure why they decided to do 50%
From my experience uniqlo flannels feel flimsy and cheap. Something i'd expect from shein. I can get better quality ones for far less. The plastic sweaters are also a no. IMO uniqlo is going downhill with its product offerings.
I am a fan of uniqlo but these new collaboration are nothing fresh or interesting. I usually buy uniqlo products that contain mainly natural fibres, I don't enjoy wearing plastic next to my skin.

The Uniqlo U this year has a 100% lambswool knit jacket and a 100% lyocell drape shirt. Both are quality pieces. *chef's kiss*

I need more natural materials in these. 5% on some of them, may as well just go full plastic at that point?

Kinda funny how the piece im most interested in is the 4 panel flannel that you didn't like!

Will it be available in Southeast Asia?
The drop should have happened already
Can't wait to check to checkout the jwa pleated pants. The standard ones of this season are way thinner than last year's....
Interesting. Will definitely pay attention to the thickness!
is the navy overshirt you're wearing in the video also from Uniqlo?
No it’s from studio Nicholson, got it in Grape colour:

Nice looking jumpers but a horrific 90% plastic that won’t breathe leaving you to get hot and slightly sweaty. Ugh.
Yeah, 90% is quite high. In a way it's good for the winter?
