Really well articulated breakdown 👌 the key takeaway here for me is using average pace - I will def put this into practice in training for the next ultra. Glad you’re recovering well & looking forward to the series!
No problem, glad some of it helped. The series should hopefully explain each element more clearly, well at least the way I prepare. It's optional to copy it! I have a bit of OCD when it comes to planning!
Congratulations on your achievement. Thanks for taking the time share your account of the Arc. What a route. You have shared priceless strategies to achieve a finish at the arc. Great watch thank you 😊
Glad to hear it! Of course, the series will make an appearance soon! Hopefully gives a bit more detail on how I plan my races and training. Thanks for the support! 👊
A superb analysis Francois! You absolutely nailed it on the day mate. Thanks for sharing your planning and prep with us mate. Look forward to the races and events coming up. 😎🤘
A great report, superb preparation, I watched and supported the runners from my little camper at North cliffs not far pass Godrevy, sure lucky with the weather this year
Thanks for the debrief, it was useful. I'm hoping to do the Arc next year. Have you tried downloading topo/landscape maps to your coros watch? I have found that it can help with navigation.
Best of luck next year, preparation is key! I didn't know you can get topo/landscape maps for Coros? Where did you get them from? I have an Apex Pro so wonder if it's not available on that model?
Great run down thanks very much. I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know the brand of energy drink (like strawberry milkshake). Thanks very much and once again well done on a great run.
Thanks for watching, the drink is literally called Nurishment. Only downside is it still comes in a can (old skill), although guess could be decanted into soft flasks. Available on Amazon. I went through about 3 or 4 during the race. Here’s the link: amzn.eu/d/bjXlmRz
Of course. I’m putting a miniseries together on preparing for an ultra and one of those episodes will be on navigation. I’m aware that many people worry about uploading and using a gps watch as well as navigating at night. I was also worried about this going into the Arc, but it turned out ok luckily. Thanks for the support and stay tuned! 👍
Thanks Mark, I ran either 3 or 4 but mainly three when I was working on hills as that took it out of me. A decent hills session outweighed an extra run in my opinion.
Amen to those sore shoulders for a couple of days, I used the Adv Skin 12 too and felt the same.

Really enjoyed that thanks. Really interesting and informative. Looking forward to the series.
Very useful and helpful to me. I hope you find time to make the detailed mini series you mentioned.

Cheers Ben, a few challenges this year as opposed to races, something a bit different. Thanks for the support.
A great breakdown of the race thank you, very interesting 😀

Brilliant video. Congrats on the race!!
See you have a Viszla? Me too. Great running buddies...❤
Fascinating

Thanks very much, we’ll give that a go.
Hi mate could you do a vid on navigation ie smart watch ect, was there someone to follow ,particularly in the dark and when in a bad place

A really well organised breakdown. Thanks for putting that together. Did you run 3 or 4 times a week in your training for the race?
