A great short film! Makes one glad they're not a crab... but also gives a peek into a "forgotten" part of the world and makes one want to visit! WELL DONE! 2 Thumbs up!!
Great to see this, we use different fishing gear on my vessel to harvest lobster in South Africa. I have been onboard during crab fishing in North Devon, I think it is time to visit and see how it is done in Ireland as well now.
That was really good!! You should try send that to RTE to broadcast!! Cant remember if its RTE or TV3 that are looking for peoples own videos/documentaries! Be sure to have it copyrighted first :-)
In a word - 'Lovely'. Trust you, please show how to cook and enjoy a spider crab! Mind you, fishing off the Suffolk coast, could tell you a thing or two about Dover (or are they black?) soles!
You need a sense of humor, co's if no your in a bad way, nothing worse than seeing someone in a low state of mind, still it's good to see a smile, it's a tough day's work, great film should have more of these made.
In England & Scotland they mark with a v in the tail and put the female lobsters, this is done to enhance the stock of lobsters, which it appears that the Irish do not do and the fact that they eat the berries shows no concern for the future stocks of lobsters.
only come on this now ....very well made
