Brilliant effort , just to short..sam was a incredibly gifted designer..he designed the classic floor plan in the early 50s that caravan manufacturer's still use today, namely the opposing couches with a center chest of drawers...and adventures he did like taking a caravan across Europe and into the middle east and to the highest point in Europe for a cake and fanta...if it wasn't for sam alpa the caravan might still be the preserve of the wealthy , he made it affordable with his use of hollowplast and his assembly systems so the working class might have holiday out in the country side or on the continent!!!.❤️🇬🇧
Thankyou for your lovely compliment. I honestly couldnt believe just how influential Sam had been in the Leisure industry. The most research I did the the deeper I realise for got. Unfortunately I realised I couldn’t go into too much depth as it would have been too long and that video actually took me 4 months to make. Glad you enjoyed it.
Well it was a great effort...no one in the MSM involved in the RV industry have bothered to make the effort even though some have meet the man personally and could easily have done so... it's as though they don't care about his legacy!!.❤️🇬🇧
Lot of facts that were wrong on this video - cosalt never bought the Sprite name and Eccles was bought by Sprite in 1960, Sprite merged with Bluebird, the 70's oil crises caused problems for the industry as a whole especially Ci - Sam Alper I met and knew - good video presented but facts incorrect - sorry
Well I’ll be honest I only took what I could find from documents online and at times it was piecing parts of a jigsaw together. And some of what I wrote was found from a couple of different sources.
