The game sure is not as visually impressive (it's more than 10 years old though) but in terms of depth, builds possibilities, qol and endgame it's miles ahead. The game is off course less casual friendly than D4 but it's much more fun and rewarding and there's so goddamn much to do it's amazing, I wish Blizzard had learned one thing or two from PoE when they developed D4 (like a lootfilter and and a search bar for starters...)

I legit thought that logo "F" in the bottom right corner is the rating for his gauntlet run, only towards the end I realized it's the logo for Frostylaroo. XDDDDD
They even dare to call it the Gauntlet, same name as Zizaran's challenge league... I am not a fan of D3, but Last Epoch took some things from it and D4 should have applied it. By simply re-using their own "kill enemies to spawn boss within a timer" (greater) rift mechanic, the gauntlet COULD have been interesting. You could have started the Gauntlet at lvl70 (start of WT4), within the run, before the boss spawn give yourself the option to either do the "uber" version or not. Defeating uber grants +5 levels to the gauntlet, normal boss just 1 level. After reaching lvl100, the gauntlet levels turn into modifiers. E.g. every level adds 1% life and damage to mobs, Every 5 levels adds armor/resistances to mobs, every 10 levels additional monster appear with rares, etc. You could get very creative and make it incredibly hard with LOTS of replayability until you get there. Its not hard to design. Freaking fans do it and have devs implement in WEEKS time. Get your act together Blizzard... who am i kidding... Blizzard is Dead.

Also I'm not sure how true it is but apparently on the forums people are saying they're increasing the prices of the microtransactions and the increase will be between 100 to 400 extra platinum. Please take this with a grain of salt as I'm not sure how much truth there is to it.

Here's what I don't get. Literally thousands of staff. 9000 in fact according to the games credits, minus the lay offs, let's be generous and call it 3000 staff left. And they can't code in a spread sheet that tracks player progression???
I played for about 2 hours of S3, logged off, took a break from games, bought LE and am over 200 hours into it now. I honestly don't know what they could even do at this point to get me to log into D4 again. If I get into the beta for POE2 in June, I may just uninstall my entire Blizzard folder off my PC.
I wish Diablo had more classes and add new skills to necro atleast make the skills cooler loooking. I hope they add more content yet idk why it’s somewhat addicting.
I've seen people wondering why they chose to release it now, and yes it makes no sense from a player point of view. What I think is happening is that even though the logical thing was to move it to S4, according to THEM, they have a lot of changes planned for S4 so they probably didn't want to deal with adding another "big" feature that could need work post-launch along with the rest of S4. Either that or utter incompetence.
This is the first Diablo content I've consumed since quitting during Season 2. Glad that I'm past the immense disappointment of D4 - this was hilarious, thanks DM.
I always assumed the Gauntlet would be like a never-ending dungeon-crawl where you go down through a potentially infinite number of dungeon levels, each one different and each one harder than the last, until you cannot get any further. Not just one single level where you just have to min-max your pathing and alter uses to try to clear it as quickly as possible. That sounds so boring.
Hey Hey Hey DM, have you ever thought of farming for Oni-Goroshi in Path of Exile? =) I tried, it's kinda therapeutical to do. You watch some stuff on the side, while grinding 5 characters at once through the very first area you spawn in, killing Hillock over and over and never progressing to town, until sometime, he will be extra tanky and guaranteed drop the best sword ever created in Path of Exile! (with "best", I refer mainly to the flavor text, but STILL)
There's a new bug now that allows you to enter the gauntlet without actually doing an official run. It's so sad I'm almost feeling bad for Blizzard LOL
Only thing I'm waiting on is my invite to POE2. D4 is dead in the water and needs years of competent hiring and reworking the entire game. And we all know that's never happening.
Im jsut back to POE at this point, Last Epoch was fun for like 40 hours and 2 character runs but it doesn't do anything to make me want to grind super end game after i clear all the monolith bosses, D4 is boring and just need to wait until next season to try again. POE still is the best ARPG on the market bar none.

It's important to remember that they held the leaderboards so that they could continue to improve on the system. Let that sink in. What D4 got was an IMPROVED version of a gauntlet and leaderboards, and the content itself is just absolutely terrible. If they released at season launch it would be 3 blizzard unpaid interns manually adding your scores to a wordpress page.
D4 Players: We need something to do with our gear once we've gotten it! Blizz: Ok, here's one thing to do with your maxed out character. D4 Player: Why can't we do this with a crappy level 80 with no gear, or farm this one activity for 3 months without getting bored? Blizz: ... I feel you on the helltides. My take is that it's an hour window to get the chests. So you know when a helltide drops you HAVE to play for your hour. Or I guess maybe 40 mins. And at the end, you know almost EXACTLY how little materials you'll get for a five second fight.

@@deceiver444 When affliction was your first league you probably won't be spoiled with loot and divines like that again. But I recommend every new player to learn how to setup Alva temples, gem and item corruption temples are easy divines in trade league
I really can't even believe the state of D4 right now compared to how I felt it would turn out before it launched. You almost have to be purposely trying to tank the Diablo franchise at this point.

Overpriced. Ridiculously greedy cash shop. It's soulless.
If you think D4 looks good go look at some PoE 2 gameplay footage, better yet put it side by side with D4 gameplay. As someone who's been playing Diablo since the original D2: LoD and has only played maybe 20 hours of PoE back when it was in Aplha or Beta or w/e, it's day and night.
