I think he was talking about Just Blocking. Basically instead of holding block, you block the moment right before you get hit and then (if you did it right) you get more Tension meter, less Blockstun and your character flashes white.
I'm sure he could have GV after pot flicked his max range Gun flame. I don't main Sol, but as Ky I like to bait flick with stun edge of CSE and dash into a stun dipper for counter hit. No yrc required.

That's not an optimal use of meter, and if FAB starts reading it he'll start going for reverse grabs or backdash>potbuster/punish.

Aight so what you need to look at is his complete ass mobility and slow ass moves which most of the cast beat out easily
He also lacks good defensive options aside from catching your gaps with buster or calling you out with a hammer fall
