They should make 1 with a warmer plate at the bottom of the pot.

I bought one of these in September 2020. Here are some numbers to help maximize the brew:
    1) For the carafe, a "cup" is 5 oz. So you can brew 30-60 oz of coffee.
    2) You should have 1.75 g of grounds per ounce of liquid.
    3) So, for brewing a carafe, you need 52.5 g of grounds for "6 cups," up to 105 g for "12 cups."
    4) Most K-Cup pods have 11 g of grounds, so anything more than the 6 oz setting will produce very weak coffee.
    5) The My K-Cup holds about 19 g of grounds. That will produce a good 10 oz cup of coffee.

I imagine you can. You can put the tea leaves in the filter and then brew as you would coffee.

Seems like it should be smart enough to recognize whether you put a k-cup in or the brewer basket but I guess not. I would love to see the Keurig with the color screen selection come back, that looked so cool and made me want to upgrade. None of the recent models look interesting to me.

Thank you Adam Hughes. I am looking for the k-cup insert too. These videos are inadequate.

Can you make a smaller pot, say a 4 cup pot?

6 5 oz. cups is the minimum setting on the machine.

She says “let’s go ahead and say we want to do 8 cups” then proceeds to press the 10. So it is my understanding that 10 equals 8cups. With that in mind, 12 should equal 10 cups, 8 should equal 6 cups, and 6 should equal the 4 cups you’re looking for.
      I’m kidding.

When Melissa said 8 cups she pressed 10 instead lol

If you like your coffee brewed through plastic and want to contribute to the millions of used K-cups in landfills, this is the machine to get.

True, but you can still use the carafe for more environmentally - freindly coffee making

Pick your poison... either throw away unused coffee picked by peasants or use the keurig once in a while..... What they need to do is make a plastic that lasts only as long as the coffee's freshness.... but that's another day.

You can buy a reusable K-Cup and use your own coffee. In addition, there are K-Cup compatible alternatives, such as the pods made by SF Bay. I think we'll see more and alternatives that have less of an environmental impact as time goes on. As for the "picked by peasants" comment above, there are many "fair trade" choices out there, including SF Bay.

@crescentmoon54 so you mean we can’t use ground coffee at all? This would be true for all coffee makes, it’s not just limited to Keurig brewers

Daniel O'Connor Exactly my point. Keurigs are great machines for convenience brewing, and using the carafe or the reusable k-cup eliminates use of plastic. But these haters don’t see that, unfortunately for them
