After losing the first set 21-9, the McKibbin Brothers battle back in set two forcing an exciting third set against the #1 ranked men's beach volleyball team in the USA, Phil "The Thin Beast" Dalhausser and Nick "The Quick" Lucena. Out...from this camera's perspective. Line didn't move either. Sand covered line after ball landed out. You likely lost the call due to their being the top seed and the powers that be decided you guys don't quite merit beating them...just yet. Sorry to see the injustice. Great to see you play very well against a top team, however. Also, don't serve Phil. Unless you can ace, or near ace, him - which you can't know before you decide to serve him - he will sideout, thus the risk is too high to even attempt, unless you are in some kind of ace-serving zone. Great play otherwise, except at the end when the injustice likely caused mental doubts/frustration. Hey, you got a vid on how to address that subject, no?
serving him can make him more tired. Some college indoor coaches do this with liberos since they stay on the court almost the entire time.

This call was horrible, even more so at that point of the game. By no means the ref could have thought that was def in, so the very least to do here is replay the point in my opinion. Apart from that, losing against Phil and Nick is not a shame and when you lose that close and the other two have such courteous support from the referee stand, that really says something about the level you are currently at. Way to go, beardbros!

Hey, Riley. Take a close look at 6:09 at slow speed. You've got a foot fault there, and I don't think it's the only one. You're walking into the court before you touch the ball......

That was so out in game 3. Total momentum killer
Pure out. Ball is one ball diameter outside the line. If hit the lines then lines will bounce. Dalhauser is good at offense but not that good in defence. Lucena covers the back. If i was playing against Dalhauser will let him spike as much as wants. Instead blocking i would be at 4th meter and try to return the spike instantly behind him around Lucena. Roll shots across and above the Dalhauser blocking. Basicly hit where defence is not. Few such situations an Lucena will be tired from digging and Dalhauser from blocking and spiking. But there is much more interesting thing than in/out ball - scoring. When at 3rd set becomes 14 to 10 scoring stops for few points. MacKibbin brothers score a point twice yet remains 14 to 10. Then lose the point Dalhauser serve but not becomes 15 but still is 14 points and after make the point becomes 15. It has to be some AVP variation of the rules.
Looked out but I would have liked to see it while looking down the line. Also need a snap shot of what the ref was looking at up close. Perhaps a sand print can be misleading. ===> VIDEO IDEA
I'm going out on a limb here and say it looked in...jk way out. That's garbage-I hate when refs just agree with the higher ranked team. Seems like it happens way too much in every sport at all levels. Excellent play though and good season! You guys allowed to play in p1440 events?

I first thought the question about "IN" or "OUT" was about the ball dropping at 13:33 and was a joke haha.
So about the ball at 13:42, it was clearly out.
When one pauses and goes frame by frame with the (.) and (,) keys the outer edge of the ball is like 5 cm away from the line and the line doesn't move one bit when the ball drops.

However, other than the wrong call made by the referee, I think you should always focus on your play. Grow your winning mindset, be more confident on the court when you're attacking (in defense you're spectacular). You're beasts with a great repertoire, use it! ✌️☺️
