I didn't see this final (I don't have a television), so I'm glad it's now available on TH-cam. I only saw the final score; and that score doesn't really capture what a great final this was. Sean Rosenthal and Trevor Crabb made quite a run towards the end. Ultimately, however, Phil and Nick were just too solid. I'd agree with the commentators, Chris Marlowe and Kevin Wong: It's a bit early to say anything definitive, but this is kind of reminiscent of Karch Kiraly and Kent Steffes back in the 1990s or Sinjin Smith and Randy Stoklos back in the 1980s.

It's not a big deal, but I think somehow a pic of Brent Frohoff found its way front-and-center into the Adam Johnson commemorative montage at 19:46.

lol Dalhausser! We all witnessed the real crowd favorites in game 2 at the end of match. Everyone so badly wanted to see Rosenthal/Crabb win. bored of watching your heighth advantage beat people and your partner Piranha mouth. If you were 6'5" or beliw you'd be an average player

You seem to have no clue what you're talking about. First of all there are taller players than Dalhausser out there that are much worse than him.
Second he has some of the best technique out there! Height doesn't help with that at all, if anything it's detrimental to it.
Of course height is an advantage but to say he'd be average if he was a little shorter is just absurd.

Really almost beat Casey Patterson at the Salt Lake City Classic before he turned pro. And uea Dalhausser would not have the titles he has if he was under 6'5" he's an outstanding player but his heighth and blocking is why he's where he is at today

@@musicboise208 He won "best setter" award multiple times, he has excellent defense technique, blocking, shots aiming ... there are many tall players out there, but only few of them can make use of it as Dalhausser. He is just great in every aspect. Anyway, I don't see your point - everybody knows that the height is an advantage in volleyball...

you could make that argument for any player... "if mol was 6'5 he wouldn't be the best player in the world right now"
