Ship Stability - Load Line Marks and Draft Calculation (Tricky Question)!!

  • This question involves concepts of ship stability, load line marks, fresh water allowance, densities to calculate sinkage and resulting drafts.
    For this question, assume your vessel is in Salt Water and will be loading in Fresh water. As density decreases (from salt water to fresh water), draft will increase by FWA.

    I have a question that when we are in vessel we all can obtain the FWA value of the vessel by simply looking to the ship particular so the formula of fwa: displacement/4TPC is usually for students in maritime faculty ,ısn't it?
