I'm seven months late on this one, but when they're saying ru-n no ko, I think they're talking about the shape Marika is hanged on since it looks like an item called a ルーンの弧 (Rune Arc), rather than some ルーンの子 (Rune Child).That's why Koyori said that she hadn't used the ルーンの弧 (Rune Arc).

seems like every channel that shows or compiles vtubers somehow knows japanese every single time. incredible
It's funny, the japanese players pay more attention to the game, dialogue, item descriptions and other things and can infer more about the game than most EN streamers I've watched, aside from the most devoted souls fan streamers most had no clue who the boss was till the name was put on the screen and most had zero clue Marika and Radagon were one and the same.

Paradoxically, the Japanese pronounce the name Marika best.
Japanese (like other languages in Europe too) not having the rolled R from English really helps with that

Is the Japanese version of the game talking about a "child of the rune"? Or is that simply how it was translated for this video but isn't what they're saying? Because I don't recall that in the English version. What I mean is I don't recall reading in the game (or hearing from an NPC) that for example Marika (or Radagon) would be the "child of the rune". Yet those players (as Hololive) are referring to a child of the rune in a way that suggests it was a recurring reference throughout their gameplay.
Rune no ko, or child of rune, is the Rune Arc in English.
They mentioned that from seeing the large Rune Arc atop Marika in the beginning of the cutscene

I am not a fan of v-tubers, never been interested, but this one time i watch a compilation about elden ring, i see that 4 OUT OF 5 DOESN'T KNOW THAT MARIKA IS RADAGON OR WHO RADAGON IS.

That's not really surprising. I beat the game like 5-6 time with 3 different characters. I know radagon but I don't know they are in same body. A lot of ER lores are easy to miss if you are not careful.
@@ScarletX4 And that's fine, but Miriel litterally tells you about a statue in the capital that reveals you the secret, also it's a fromsoft game, you need to stay focused
@@matteodidonatantonio He did say the statue have secrets but never said anything about how to reveal the secret. Most people would forget about that before they reach the capital, It's a pretty long road. And law of regression is a pretty niche spells for mages, since most mages are glass cannons that they would rather not take damage instead of dispelling debuff. And most of the time, you can't take npc's words at face value, since a lot of them speak in riddles and rhymes.

@@vn-ese8889 its annoying cuz many people are here to see how she'd like the immense amount of work put into the cutscene and the fact that radagon's cold stare is literally telling you that you are boutta get ass kicked, seeing them stay un interested is a straight insult to the devs, like i'd understand if you dont wanna over do a reaction, that's cringy too, but atleast focus on the damn cutscene and watch it, feels like they are playing the game just for the views or forced to play it, and not for their own fun
call it whatever the hell you wanna, i want to watch others feel great about playing a game i enjoyed, if they didnt enjoy it then its obviously gonna disappoint the viewers making them feel watching the streamer is not even worth their time
