I love this design but I wish it had an Ethernet port, one more usb A port and upgradeable ram. Other than that I don’t have much complaints. Although I’d never get the 3080 model and stick with a 3060 or 3070 model
Nice laptop I love it, I wanted to know about the temperatures, The Alienware has a new cooling system, I wanted to know if the temperatures stay below 100 ºC or exceed 100 ºC
@@chantelsopio5826 That is something I should be able to purchase too. In the past I have built and rebuilt Dell laptops by buying the parts intended for series units that weren't available at he price point. I have added illuminated keyboards to models that the retail offering didn't have but was available on a more expensive model. Thanks for this insight. Really appreciate it and you!
@@na0mi0 woah really??? That’s crazy it runs that hot. Just bought an x15 r1 and really hope it’s not that bad for the games I play. I love the looks and portability of the x15. I just hope it’s enough give heard of people with good experience and others with bad ones…
Excellent question! I should mentioned that. It's fine, with only a light whir occasionally under standard productivity workloads and virtually silent during our 1080p video loop battery rundown test.
Well, to be fair, the SSDs and Wi-Fi radio NIC are not soldered so all is not lost, but yeah, pick your RAM config wisely because that's soldered down. It's getting to be common in the thin-and-light gaming laptop class but not optimal for sure, which is why we called it out.
@@Hothardware yeah but if the ram or graphics and cpu goes then that straight back dell to get fixed and a hefty bill if you did not update your 1 year service agrements for me thats a major turn off these laptops
Cool laptop but not worth it. Performs worse than a 3070 and 2080 super laptop. That 110 watts really hurts the 3080. Plus the cpu thermals aren’t good on this machine. The x17 on the other hand is much better.
this is about best channel review of x15 i seen so far, great job!

Yah, right there with you... I bought a 8 in 1 hub... But I could have used more built in stuff.
No Upgradeable RAM, AGAIN!?
his intro seems like its from 2016
its amazing
is the new thermal system actually working??? like . actually?
my post aleinware laptops all died to mother board issues

I was sold at Mini Millennium Falcon
Выбираю себе ноут и не понимаю у как х моделей светится тачпад? Подскажите, пожалуйста 🙏

Only the 3080 series got the rgb touchpad
Sadly, when I bought mine, they had no 3080's so I get no illuminated trackpad either....
I got in touch with customer care and they able to upgrade mine. I wonder if that's possible in your country

@@chantelsopio5826 woah they let you do that? What are the specs of your machine?
gotta say video and sound needs to cooperate instead of playing a video and read the script. But overall very specific.
Did they ever fix the x15 running hot with the r2?
My r2 runs 109 degrees so no..... I geuss

Does it have touchscreen, heard most gaming laptop doesn't have touchscreen features?
No touch screen
How’s the fan noise during normal work?

no fan noise during normal work. I have x15.
should i buy the 2021 x15 or invest extra money in the x15 r2??
Great vid 👍🏼 considering a 3070 and 1440p screen. No interest in a 3080 just too much power, and worse battery life and huge power brick
Big problem these laptop is everything is soldiered on so something breaks you need send it back
