  • In this PART 1 of my short high-end retouching series (tutorial), I will show you how to clean the skin in Photoshop, get rid of the most stubborn imperfection, and prepare the skin for the next step: dodging and burning. We will be using clone stamp tool and spot healing brush, I will share my setting and advice on how to achieve the best results.

    Awesome videos, thank you so much! Do you have any advice on dealing with bad skin texture (such as very dry skin, flaky skin, acne beyond a few small blemishes) and color problems (redness, dark under eyes, uneven skin tone)? I realize this problem does not exist in beauty photography, but it does exist in portrait photography where your client is just a regular person. If a large part of the skin has problematic texture or color, it can be very difficult to fix it with clone stamp/healing brush as there may be no suitable patch of skin to clone from. And, this is not something that D&B can help with. Any help is much appreciated 🙏
