The nut roast I made for super is my usual - wing it - recipe
Just put in whatever you think you'll like, include nuts, 'roast' it in the oven and there you are.
onion/celery/carrots/nuts/breadcrumbs/a few oats/tomato paste/seasoning
cheese is optional. Seeds on the top.
Serve it with salad or veg
Give the spare one to a friend
To make it vegan, leave out the cheese.

Ok.... so I made the nut roast! Yum! Made mine with pecans, walnuts and cashews. I didn't have celery so I used fresh mushrooms. Also used Gouda cheese, and flax meal in lieu of oats. I have a gluten allergy so I couldn't use that I ingredient. Anyway... it is delish!!! Baked for about 35 minutes on 350. It baked up so pretty and I love the texture. Thanks again for sharing.
ahh! i forgot to say how long to cook it and how hot - but you guessed perfectly! and mushrooms is an excellent addition! GREAT! so glad you tried it! xxx

Beautiful sunset! Loved seeing Eileen & Norma. We need a hen update when you have a chance. Just a fast story. This summer I have my Grandsons, ages 13 & twin 11 year olds, sewing colorful pillowcases to give to a Children’s hospital here in Texas. They thought I made the pincushion we are using and I told them “no, my TH-cam friend Kate, from England, made it”. They are fascinated that I have a friend in the UK. I’m going to show them Eileen swimming when they come over today. They have never seen a goose but will get a kick out of her.
Life in romance made me cry. So beautiful. I live in a concrete jungle and I love your vlogs especially when you go outside. I also love your pretty goose waddling down to take a swim. You have your own little piece of heaven here on earth. Thank you for sharing it with us. ❤️

Kate I made this adding my own touches based on ingredients on hand. My husband was a total skeptic. It smelled wonderful as it baked, and was so tasty. Cannot wait to taste it tommorrow as most everything tastes better the next day.

Got quite a bit of fruits and veggies yesterday at the Native American Center here in town. During the summer they give away free fruits and vegetables to anyone in our county. It certainly helps folks. Hope you have a great day at pottery. I've begun a new crochet project for one of my grandchildren.

Hi Kate, loved watching you cooking. I was cutting my first batch of soap whilst watching. It was your soap video that started me. I’ve had such fun. I used a wooden champagne box and some almond milk cartons, the latter didn’t need lining. Thank you for all your ideas.

I just watched your video as I cooked my lunch (sauteed bok choy, chard, onion, and garlic mixed into the last of some spicy bean soup), and it was perfect company. The nut loaf has me intrigued! And then a nut-roast recipe, how beautiful. This dish is, in fact, completely unknown in Germany.
Now I finally know how to prepare one.
Some other British TH-camrs I like to watch had reported that they had a nutroast for Christmas dinner.

How I wish tidying up was so speedy 😂 I don't think I have seen your kitchen from that first angle before, your cupboards look very interesting and unique. I have never had nut roast before, it looks very tasty. The end brought a tear to my eye..( in a good way ). I'm allergic to so many things outside now😿😿. In the South the onions,carrots and celery are called the holy Trinity. Trivia about USA. I've never heard of a nut loaf??? I will make it. I'm a true veggie lover. When you started fixing the asparagus and swiss chard , swooned!!! He he. I love asparagus soup. That was a busy day. I wish I could get myself motivated to tidy my home but there always seems to be something more interesting to do and it seems to just get messy again! I must give that nut roast a try. My father lifted his first potatoes of the year yesterday and I cooked them today and served them with a little butter, they were delicious. He’s 90 this year and often asks the question, I wonder how many potato seasons I still have left in me. Lots I hope! Thanks as always for sharing your life at the last homely house. Thanks for that Kate I forget about a nut roast! Will make one this weekend and add some nutritional yeast and skip the cheese. I have eaten a plant based diet since January 2018 so make sure I get my B12. The nutritional yeast is very tasty.

So easy to dump things on flat surfaces and then takes forever to clear it up. Never ending in my house. Nut loaf? Interesting. I like that it is a wing it recipe. I liked seeing Eileen. We have geese around our river by our house. Last weekend there were five sets of adults and many babies across the river in the open field. They have moved on. When we walk our property, I have to watch our dog, Abbey that she doesn't eat the goose candy (poop). Why she feels the need to eat it. Yuck! Loved the sunset. Have a blessed week!
