I've been there, the church is so filled with the Holy Spirit that I was weeping the whole time and amazed over the organization and the holiness and primitive godliness. Praise GOD for our faithful brothers and sisters in China.

I watched the clip a second time to see whether my initial impression was correct. I did see a few men in the congregation but there seem to be a supermajority of women. Can someone tell is what the ratio is and whether someone has an explanation for that - especially if the ratio is more than 2 to 1?
Worshiped in this church when I was an international student in China and yes a large majority of the members are females probably 70% especially among the elders, the youth were almost 50 50. As to why it's so I can't really give an explanation .

The way various SdA congregations are organized (or not organized) varies in the United States from one local conference to another and also according to size of the congregations. When I was a boy in the 1940s and '50s, SdA pastors and "evangelists" emphasized resting on the sabbath day. I seldom hear anything about that anymore. That emphasis has been replaced by an emphasis on attending worship services on the sabbath day. When I was a boy, there weren't many sermons about political topics and (it seemed to me) the only political topic ever addressed in sermons was freedom from coercion with regard to religious beliefs, religious practices and religious prohibitions. I suppose there are still SdA pastors who limit their references to political topics in sermons to that subject but, in English (at least here in the United States) there are key words that are employed by politicians to get their followers excited enough to vote - and I'm sad to report that some SdA clergy use some of those same words in ways that seem intended to either influence people's political views or persuade people that the clergy lean one way or another on political issues. As I was reading your response to my question, it occured to me that China is one of the places in the world where SdA clergy have (presumably) learned to avoid even using key words that would indicate what their political preferences are.
I'm not sure why she is not allowed to baptise, but her ministry is obviously blessed by God. I would love to attend at some time, even if I didn't understand the language. And I love the morning worship meetings! That woiuld make every single (unmarried) person feel connected in a huge way.
That is not so. Some people misunderstand which law ended at the cross. Remember that there were laws that said to sacrifice a lamb for sins? Those laws were obeyed to remind them that The Lamb of God (Jesus), will come and die for their sins. Well, when Jesus, that true Lame came and died for our sins, His Blood that was shed made atonement for every sin ever committed and that will ever be committed. There was no longer any need for offering sacrifices because The Lamb had come. So, those laws about sacrifices of lambs, and if you can't afford lambs, then turtle doves, all of those laws were "nailed to the cross". Abolished. Not needed. The 10 Commandments are still, and forever will be here to be obeyed, to show us what loving God looks like (Exodus 20:3-11), and what it means to love each other (verses 12-17). That cannot change. That's God's Character, and the character He wants us to have. How could God, The All-Wise One Who can see consequences way in advance, say it is now ok to steal, lie, rape, commit adultery and fornication, kill, disrespect parents and other elderly, plus it is okay to covet (want what others have so badly, that it is ok to kill, lie, steal, take other's spouses, etc. ? He knew that society would be the way it is if we do not keep His Law, so He made sure that He said that not one jot or tittle shall be removed from His Law until all be fulfilled. He said He did not come to destroy it, but to fulfill (magnify) it. (Matthew 5:17 - 19. Sadly, some persons have misunderstood. Ask God what is the truth.

From my understanding, the men in China can be imprisoned or made "unalived" by stepping into this position as pastor. For the record, I don't believe in women's ordination...but... My question would be: should this church shut its doors and cease to exist, or find a new pastor every few weeks because the govt over there keeps disposing of the males leaders, literally?
