Are these fish harmful to humans at all? I was snorkelling around a well known beech in Cyprus yesterday and there was a coral nearby and I seen a few of these things as I was swimming around the coral. But as I didn't know anything about them, I kept my distance incase they were harmful.
As far as i know they are not harmful to humans, i never had an encounter that showed me otherwise. But in my opinion of course you should always keep distance, for we are intruders in their habitat while snorkeling. Enjoy watching them and learn about them while snorkeling, i think they are amazing creatures, and if they don't want you around they will show you who the better swimmer is...
