the train went into a little room between two light fixture that was perfectly the size of the train. i think it said there were tracks on the roof or something but i can't remember
Notice the camera moving up and down at 2min 30 seconds. That was more than likely orchestrated as a distraction from the fact that the train was already in motion to be 'whisked' away....the loud music is also there to mess up your focus.
by the time he says "hold down the ropes 2:27" the trick already starts, you can see the crane move the blanket( which holds the fake steal train roof) up while the train is moving to the right off the stage....
Yep it starts a little bit before 2:20 you can already see that the train is a little bit higher over the ground then the whole "Camera shaking" is just to cover up the train moving :D

One car does not make a train. As they moved the camera to stage left did anyone observe all the 'flutter' of the shroud at the stage right end of shroud? While the camera motion draws your eyes with it the car was pulled or pushed or otherwise forced the shroud into the slightly oversized 'void' over the 'roadbed'. That forty second walk from one end of the car to the other drew your eyes to the motion. Did you try to watch any one person surrounding the car? No, they were stationary. Watch the video several times and see how many repetitions it takes to break the habit. I was 'quick' to learn, only six reps.

No, the camera that was used "the Rocky cam" was just removed from the person and attached into the crane for the sweeping shots.
