Filmed over 4 days, and condensed into this short 30 minute moto vlog - I run out of milk and decide this is a great opportunity to take my new Harley Davidson Low Rider ST El Diablo for its first proper test ride...You will not believe what happens !

My MIL and her partner said they stopped and helped a guy riding a Harley on the Stuart Highway who had run out of petrol. They said he was filming stuff for a TH-cam channel... so I looked you up so I can share the video to them :) Ended up watching the whole thing - love the plot and production value!

Danny I spent the last year building, a custom Street Glide to ride 5,000 miles on a round trip from Chattanooga Tennessee to Silverdale California and back.
Plus I had made arrangements, to visit with several friends who live in Los Angeles.
I had already made all of my arrangements, to be on a 13 day trip with my wife of 33 years now and our Son and Daughter in law tagging along on his bike.
Unfortunately my wife was diagnosed with leukemia, so I had no choice but to cancel our trip.
So
This trip to get your soy milk, really picked up my spirit brother.

Another awesome bit of film-making, and that supremely beautiful still photo at the very end at 33:00 brilliantly summed up the trip with one shot. That pic is worth hanging on your front room wall. Stunning shot.

Glad you are ok M$B. That's the reason I put an engine guard and passenger sliders on my El Diablo. The paint and custom parts are not only expensive but will be difficult to get and take time. Honestly I installed the guard and sliders more bc I don't trust the HD stands and am more worried about it falling but in your case your bike would have been completely protected. Glad the damage was minimal enough for you to complete your trip. I don't understand why you don't wear proper gear? You spend a ton of $$$ on the mods but having proper gear and BOOTS is def part of riding. I don't know anyone in the states that rides in the winter with sneakers - just makes zero sense esp on a multi-day trip. Thanks for showing us the outback and what you need to traverse it - it's def on my bucket list !

Sorry about the crash, all in all was good to get it out of the way, statistically you are ok for a while… top tip from my days as a bicycle racer, crumpled up newspaper under your jacket insulate quite well, and can be easily disposed off when warm.
