I like the way ScoutCrafter handles these adjustable wrenches and drills the hole with the proper drill and then taps the hole. The pin is replaced with a threaded bolt that is machined on his lathe to the proper size.

Hey thanks again. Yeah I searched for a Proto adjustable wrench teardown video but couldn’t find one either.

Thank you for another informative video. Years ago I knew a trucker that would soak the heads of his adjustable wrenches and ratchets in a can transmission fluid for a couple of days. He has long passed away, but I'll bet those tools are still in use somewhere.

Interesting pin design, never seen that before.............Years ago I think I paid $5.99 for a 3pc. set from HF so I can't complain too much about their non-removable pins.

The HF ones are not that bad. As you saw I keep one close by on my bench.

I have an idestro super 10inch and it looks like they brazed the pin in with brass or maybe the previous owner did. Kind of irritating but I bought it anyway for it's in excellent condition and indesto isn't a popular brand in my area so when I see one cheap I buy it.

You need to invest in longer punches.
