I don’t think it looks that bad, as a first attempt to fix the issue you’ve done well. Does the wireless charging still work? I’d be tempted to 3D print something with sides to stop the phone falling over.
I have the same problem, your solution works but it's not as tidy as I'd like it to be. Maybe I can find a really thin sticky pad, like one of these dashboard ones, and stick it on top of the existing mat? The existing mat looks so much better than the silicone one you're using. Looks awful unfortunately, butncertaonly the original pad doesnt keep the phone on place.
Now hoping for a solution to update the operator profile on the on board eSIM since i t's not supported where I live
