They look great!! Thank you so much!!☺️.. I did notice though that on this tutorial u chain 3 when starting sole and sides..but on updated version u only chain 2…I stayed with the chain 3..lol❤️
Sitting here this morning, making yet another pair of these awesome slippers and I noticed that you have 629 thumbs down. Seriously?! I can not imagine why anyone would give this video a thumbs down. I wish I could "like" it every time I come back to it! You explain everything so clearly and patiently. It's very easy to follow and understand, and the end result is AWESOME! This is, by far, the best slipper tutorial I have found on TH-cam. Thank you so much (again) for this tutorial!
Thank you for the lovely comment. I stopped looking at the thumbs down. I have never thumbs down ANY TH-cam video, I just move on. It’s comments like yours that make me smile. 😃 thank you 😊
Back again to make my fifth pair in so many years. This is such a great pattern/video. They work up so quickly in the round, wear so well, and are so cozy! I use bernat blanket for mine and every pair I've made are still being loved all winter long. Thank you so much for this gift!
My friend Jo gifted me a pair of these slippers for Valentine’s Day 2024. I am wearing them now and they are very comfortable. Thank you for the pattern.
Thats a good friend. My mother taught me so much on how to do things like this, i had just come across this and i was fascinated by it. Also took me back in time. How amazing it is to be creative with your mind and hands🤭 we are all unique!✨ Watching from Lincolnshire England🌼
Wonderful instructions. Clear and easy to follow. I'm now in my 60s and the last time I had my crochet hook in action was making a poncho in Mt teens. I am so delighted with the slippers and I'm getting orders from all the family now!. Thank you so much. Definitely thumbs up from me.
I love these slippers -- I've made over 50 of them and gave them away as Christmas presents to family and my husband and sons co workers -- they all love them and brag about how they help their aching feet after working hard all day .Thank you for this pattern -- it is a massage with warmth and softness. Love them.
I have made these slippers 3 times and they make the perfect last minute gift. I feel great that I no longer need to look at the tutorial. Many Thanks. X
I made 14 pairs of these for Christmas gifts, everyone loved them!. Thanks for a great, easy, quick pattern. The slippers turn out looking "store bought", everyone was amazed I made them.
I made myself a pair of these slippers around Christmas. I Love them. They are so comfortable. The sole is so thick that you don’t feel the cold floor at all. I ended up making 7more pair for family members. Everyone loves them, even former non-slipper wearers. I am a knitter, so this was my first crochet project. The instructions were so clear and easy to follow. Thank you so much!!
I've been searching a number of sites and this is by far has the most explicit pictures and instructions. Stephanie you made crocheting such a fun experience for the novice crocheter!! I made my first slipper and with some stopping and starting the tuitorial I was able to complete a slipper. Now on to its match!! I'm so happy with the results.
I’m a lefty and have been looking for a slipper pattern for quite sometime. Thank you for a straightforward easy pattern to follow. I did add on a few rows as you stated in the tutorial. Worked great. I’ll be making a few of these slippers for sure

I’m a visual learner, as most of us are, and I found this video extremely easy to follow. As a retired teacher, I can say that this is a perfect instructional tool. The pace, the camerawork, your spoken instruction, written instruction makes this one of the best tutorials on TH-cam. Many thanks for the time this must have taken you. Simply superb.
I learned to crochet after I retired in 2016. I dabbled in it a little during the pandemic shutdown and a lot more over the last couple of years while going through a couple of cancer surgeries and treatments. Recently, while fighting my 4th COVID breakthrough during the 2023 Christmas holidays, I decided it was time for this rookie to tackle something more challenging. I'm so glad I pick this pattern. Thanks Stephanie for posting this video and project. It's really boosted my crocheting confidence. These slippers feel like I'm walking on clouds.

Thank you so much. These were very easy and fast to make. They are super comfy, warm and thick. I just love them and my daughter asked for a pair when she saw them. Thank you for sharing. Bless you
I'm sure the thumbs down are because they didn't watch the video, only read the written instructions like I tried to do hahaha and they are quite wonky. But I went back when my husband was awake and watched the video and re wrote the instructions following the video and got it right. Love these! I've made pairs for all 3 of my boys and myself and my husband. For the kids I just used a medium (#4) yarn and for my littlest I used a #3. Thank you for sharing these, we all love them and I was able to make 5 pairs (10 slippers!!) In just under a week! Thanks again!!
Phenomenal. I added 2 extra rows to the front, and 2 extra rows to the sides, and they turned out perfectly. Such a great tutorial. Super easy to follow. Easy to adapt. Look great, feel sturdy/snug. Thanks for putting this out on youtube!
Since watching your video -our library class intorduced your pattern to our class and your video - I have made over 60 pairs of these slippers and gave them away to friends and family. Thank you for the comfortable slipper pattern . My grandson wears a size 13 shoe -- so I worked with the pattern and only had to add an extra row for his to fit ,, Thank you again.
Thank you for this Awesome tutorial!! Just made my first pair for my toddler. They came out perfect! Tutorial was easy to follow along with. I made adjustments with yarn and hook to get the size I needed. Used #4 yarn with a 3.5mm hook to make a toddler size 6.
I made them and I love them, thank you so much for sharing! The pattern is super easy and I finished one slipper in about 2 hours. Thank you for the advice on how to fit them to my foot, it was very helpful! However, I followed the pattern (using a 6.5 hook because I don't have a 6, but I did use the same size yarn) and they were uncomfortably tight on my size 8 feet (when the pattern says it will fit size 7-9). I recommend adding one row for each half-size up from 7.5 for a comfortable fit. For my final slippers, I did 13 rows in the beginning instead of 12 rows. They are still snug and I wouldn't have minded adding one more row, but they are not uncomfortable.
I have been crocheting for over 40 yrs and I have to say this is the best tutorial I have seen. I have made 4 pair for Christmas gifts. I'm left handed and crochet backwards to you, but they came out perfect! Thank you for such a clear straightforward video.
I have to tell you I’ve looked for a thick shoe pattern for awhile now. I’m a beginner crocheter and many patterns are difficult and they don’t explain the stitches very well. I followed your instructions had no problem, I had to add extra but I still understood everything you were telling us to do. They came out perfect the first time. No pulling apart 50 times . There thick, comfy and look like a shoe. I love, love, love this pattern . My family will too! I even stitched more on my cuff as I like it to cover my ankles. Thanks so much for this tutorial, I have just subscribed to you as I can’t wait to see what else you do. 😁👍🏻
I thought I could never learn how to make these slippers, but thanks to your excellent instructions and sweet patient manner, I HAVE!!! hard to believe, and really love them..they are cushiony and warm and have plans with them for Christmas! Thank you again!

I made the slippers, they are cute, very comfortable and warm. I really loved your video... you made the instructions clear without excessive and unnecessary talking. Thanks so much Stephanie!
Fantastic tutorial! I’ve only been crocheting for 2years and I was able to follow all instructions and keep pace quite easily with such great instructions! Thank you so much for video!
This was my first crochet project, and they came out beautifully 😍. I am so proud of them. Thanks so much for sharing, and your fantastic instructions made it so easy and enjoyable to follow 😀
I am over the moon with this slipper. I have recently got back into crocheting because we are all home and this pattern of all the ones I’ve tried is the best. Thank you for your great instructions. All the best!
I've finished one and am working on the second. I keep picking up the finished one and admiring it! The pattern is pure genius! I find making the back post stitches difficult because of the bulky yarn and relatively small hook but definitely worth the effort! Thank you!
For those of you who are making for the older community, please be aware that if they walk on hard wood ( slicker) floors these will make it where they may fall. If carpet floors they will be fine! Even little tikes may be prone to falls. Just an FYI from past experience. Other than that, I LOVE these slippers! So easy to make! Great video!!
Suzanne Stalcup you could put on puffer fabric paint on the soles. . . In a design (eg, stripes, circles, dots, etc). Helps cut down on how slippery they would be.
These are the very best crocheted slippers I have made and worn. Thank you Stephanie, I have made many pairs and tell all my Facebook crochet buddies to try them cause they are "The Best"!!
These are great. And THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PUTTING PATTERN IN THE DESCRIPTION . even when ppl offer a free written pattern, you have to follow a link to a different page. I can't find many who post it here so I can watch the video and follow the pattern. Thank you for all of it
Love this tutorial! ☑️Easy to see ☑️Easy to understand ☑️great pace, can keep up ☑️my slippers are turning out beautifully. Probably gonna be an Xmas gift or 2. Mom would probably love them. ♥️ Thanks for the great tutorial and comfy slippers.

You are an amazing patient tutor. Please thank Auntie Ute on my behalf. Your youtube video are going to make many many feet warm and happy. Thank you again. ;)
thank you for the clear instructions and the tips on how to widen and narrow the pattern, just finished my first pair and it was true to size and pattern as stated, love the end result....
My great grandma used to make a similar slipper to this for all of us kids every single year for Christmas. Thank you so much for sharing, it’s brought back so many memories for me. Your instructions are amazing and they worked up perfectly on my first try! ❤️
Well I have to tell you i am impressed. I made the slipper right along with you. Paused the video many many times. I just adore these slippers and working on the 2nd one . They are the best thing i have ever made i do believe. Thank you for sharing your a peach. God Bless and be safe.
For the first time ever, my husband asked me to make him something, a pair of slippers. He's surprised at how comfy these slippers are--he keeps saying "it's like walking on thick carpet!" even on concrete floors. THANK YOU!
This is going to be a perfect Christmas gift for my husband. He loves crochet and knit socks + slippers! Thank you for sharing! Schöne Grüße an Tante Ute
Thank you so much, I've just started and found your video super easy to follow and loved that you instructed where to pause. Most helpful. I did a pair in velvet yarn and love how thick they are.
I am glad they turned out. I have made a hat with Velvet yarn and I found it quite "slippery" to work with. Maybe I will have to try it on the slippers. Thank you.
Thank you so the great video. I just made a pair for my son-in-law and they work up so quickly. I didn't know his shoe size so I followed the wider pattern, added some rows to the foot, and added 2 rows to the heel part. Your tutorial was very easy to follow.
I enjoyed this video very much, my grandson loves these slippers, your instructions were spot on, very understandable, and your voice made it even easier to understand. Thank You so much for sharing. God Bless, stay safe
I can't imagine why anyone would give this video a thumbs down. I like your videos because you have the number and name of the stitch clearly written on the screen and you stay long enough on any stitch to be able to see how to do it. If I ever want to try something new, I go to your channel to see if you have a video on it before I start searching the internet. Thanks for all you do! PS - I don't think anyone should be allowed to give a thumbs down without an explanation. I usually give an explanation in the comments section when I don't like something...like the music is too loud, or the instructions aren't clear, etc, but I never give a thumbs down unless I feel like the video title has misled me into clicking on a video.
Omg! This pattern is sooo much easier than it looks! I am in process of making a pair using Premier Puzzle yarn for a cousin going thru chemo,,, these are SOFT! Thank you for SHARING your talent! 💜🧶💚🌹🤗🙏🏻

this is the best tutorial. I like the design and the way you explain and show us how each step is done. Everything is just so clear. I love that you show us how to make it with other sizes :)) Keep up the good work💖💖
@@oreadeboye4506 That is so cool! My mom loves these slippers so much she wears them every day. Now I am working on a pair for my Aunt. Good luck with your pair💐 I am sure your mom will love them.
These slippers were recently made extremely wide to accommodate my Mother's foot bandaging. 10 rows on top (instead of 7) and more circles in the front. Wow! What a game changer to be able to have footwear again! Thanks Stephanie for sharing such a flexible pattern that makes up such a nice slipper!
Thank you so much for taking the time to post this tutorial! Your instructions are very clear, and I just made myself a pair using a mix of 2 x #4 acrylic yarn. The colour combo looks really good and the slippers feel thick and luxurious ! Now that I am confident making these, I am off to make a few pairs for presents ! Thanks so much again, and I have subscribed to your channel so I will work up some courage to make a pair of converse slippers !
Shelagh Mitson Hi Shelagh, I am on my 3rd pair now and using up my stash of # 4 yarns...so I can definitely say that it works well and looks very nice too. I am not too good at knowing how much yarn I am consuming but did a super rough calculation of about 120 to 140 m... (Of each skein) for example I am using a 7 oz skein ( which I had used a bit for a previous project) and have probably used a little less than half of the skein for one pair...( of each of the 2 coloured skeins) I hope that makes some sense ? Good luck and I hope you have success with your slippers !
These are absolutely the most beautiful and comfortable slippers I've ever had. I've made two already and more to come. Thanks for the time you took in providing these instructions. One question for the community : Has anyone come up with an idea of how to make them skid-free? I have hardwood floors.
What an amazing tutorial! You do it so well, in explaining clearly and calmly and your voice is nice to listen to :-) Thank you so much! I just finished off my first pair!
Thank you for a simple easy to use pattern. I made these for my whole family. I stitched on a nonslip base as a sole and added pompoms and tassels. Thank you once again
I kept taking off my shoe, to try on the one I was making for size. They are so comfortable I was not wanting to take them off to finish! Thank you, they are cozy in wool!
Life is funny, when a German crocheter followes the English instructions of a tutorial on how to make slippers on YT after the German auntie taught you how 😂 thanks for the video, both you and Ute 😉
Love your video. You explained things so clearly, and gave us wonderfully clear closeups! If I was trying to crochet this from a paper pattern, I would probably have difficulty following it, because I get intimidated by complicated patterns. But I think I can watch this tutorial and follow along no problem.
I can't tell you how happy I am you shared this! They are quick to make and they look absolutely perfect! I was making the "recluse" ones from Ravelry. I love them too, but they take more time to make. These ones are building up so quickly, and they are so pretty - THANK YOU so much. Danke :) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year :)

My great grandma used to make a similar slipper to this for all of us kids every single year for Christmas. Thank you so much for sharing, it’s brought back so many memories for me. Your instructions are amazing and they worked up perfectly on my first try! ❤️

For the first time ever, my husband asked me to make him something, a pair of slippers. He's surprised at how comfy these slippers are--he keeps saying "it's like walking on thick carpet!" even on concrete floors. THANK YOU!

Thank you :)
Thank you.
A really excellent narration, very easy to follow, wish all the videoes were made by you. Many thanks for your kindness in sharing.
Thank you😊
I love these slippers. Thank you for sharing it with us. These will make some great homemade Christmas gifts. God Bless You and Your Family
Thank you so the great video. I just made a pair for my son-in-law and they work up so quickly. I didn't know his shoe size so I followed the wider pattern, added some rows to the foot, and added 2 rows to the heel part. Your tutorial was very easy to follow.
Thank you. I’m glad it worked. 😃
This is the best slipper pattern I have found so far, thank you!
Thank You
Thank you so much for sharing!! I love these and you did an awesome job of making the steps easy to follow.
My coworker's Mom brought me a pair of these back from Bosnia and I LOVE them. Now I can make some for my family! Thank you!
Thank you for the great comment!!😃
Totally agree. Such an easy video to follow, and the slippers are great.
I enjoyed making theses slippers so much? Your tutorial was excellent you explained everything !
I am glad you liked it. 😃
Omg! This pattern is sooo much easier than it looks! I am in process of making a pair using Premier Puzzle yarn for a cousin going thru chemo,,, these are SOFT! Thank you for SHARING your talent! 💜🧶💚🌹🤗🙏🏻

I made a pair for my mother and she wants a second pair which is what I am starting on now. Thankyou for this amazing pattern💐
I'm making for my mom too 😃🥰
@@oreadeboye4506 That is so cool! My mom loves these slippers so much she wears them every day. Now I am working on a pair for my Aunt. Good luck with your pair💐 I am sure your mom will love them.
It's awesome and very well explained.I made it for my daughter and she liked it a lot.
Thank you for the lovely comment😊 . I am so happy she likes them 😘
Thank you so much for taking the time to post this tutorial!
Fabulous!
Thanks for commenting this! I don't have any chunky and I'm trying to work down my stash so I was wondering if I could just use 2 strands of #4! :)
That should work just fine. :)
Shelagh Mitson
Hi Shelagh, I am on my 3rd pair now and using up my stash of # 4 yarns...so I can definitely say that it works well and looks very nice too. I am not too good at knowing how much yarn I am consuming but did a super rough calculation of about 120 to 140 m...
(Of each skein) for example I am using a 7 oz skein ( which I had used a bit for a previous project) and have probably used a little less than half of the skein for one pair...( of each of the 2 coloured skeins)
I hope that makes some sense ?
Good luck and I hope you have success with your slippers !
These are absolutely the most beautiful and comfortable slippers I've ever had. I've made two already and more to come. Thanks for the time you took in providing these instructions. One question for the community : Has anyone come up with an idea of how to make them skid-free? I have hardwood floors.
Yes. There are comments below on puffy paints.
Absolutely wonderful pattern and video. Thank you for taking the time and energy to do it !!!
You are so welcome!
Oh wow, what a great pattern. You have such a beautiful, soothing voice. Thank you

These are my favorite slippers I make these every year for my family. Thank you so much for the tutorial.

😊
Life is funny, when a German crocheter followes the English instructions of a tutorial on how to make slippers on YT after the German auntie taught you how 😂 thanks for the video, both you and Ute 😉
Excellent!!!!!
these are so easy to make and so cute! your auntie Ute is a genius! thank you
Glad you like them!
Love your video. You explained things so clearly, and gave us wonderfully clear closeups! If I was trying to crochet this from a paper pattern, I would probably have difficulty following it, because I get intimidated by complicated patterns. But I think I can watch this tutorial and follow along no problem.
Just finished a beanie and scarf for my husband. My grandma makes shoes similar to this so I know he’s gonna want some of these 😃😂 wish me luck!!
👍🏼😊Good Luck!!
made two pairs for me and my partner so cosy and your tutorial was easy to follow thankyou
Thank You
I can't tell you how happy I am you shared this! They are quick to make and they look absolutely perfect!
I was making the "recluse" ones from Ravelry. I love them too, but they take more time to make. These ones are building up so quickly, and they are so pretty - THANK YOU so much. Danke :)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year :)
👍🏼
Thank you for this awesome pattern. Busy making for my sisters Grandson... and am going to make a pair for the whole family. They are fantastic and easy to make, as one can adjust to fit virtually any size..
