Thank you for creating this video! ♥️ I have a foot that is extremely wide do to a medical issue . I have such a hard time finding slippers that work for me. I like the boot type slippers which stay on my feet better and willl keep my feet warm.
Thank you so much for your tutorials. I've made so many gifts for family and friends over the years. Handmade gifts are so much better than store bought. Although I'm left handed, you're instructions are very easy to follow. This will be my next gift. Again, thank you for your time.
Thank you!❤! You're a good teacher,perfect camera work,explains everything!❤! I've been looking for these for a long time,but the teacher makes all the difference!❤!
I am making a pair for me to start with and I am going to make more in different sizes for my family members. I am using a size 8.00 mm hook but the yarn is only a size 4 and so stretchy not quite sure how they are going to come out but so far very nice. I appreciate the time you used on this explanatory video thank you so much for this. I can't even come close to affording Lion Brand anything so I am using Dollar Tree One Pound in white
I love this pattern! I used the recommended weight yarn but went down to a 6.5 hook size and ended up with a perfect children's size for my granddaughter. She wears a toddler size 9 I believe. They should last her a while as the feel quite stretchy even though they are warm and snuggly. I'm going to try the same thing with a lighter yarn to see if I can make a pair for my 18 month old granddaughter as well.
I am also struggeling with the sizing/sizes. My yarn is bulky and I want to double up but I did a test pair with super bulky and got a very different result than the listed sizes. Should the sole be the size of the actual foot? Thank you for any pointers!
I noticed in the written pattern the size XL has a starting chain of 13 which is the same as the L size. In the video the starting chain is 14 for the XL…
i found the larger sizes indicated on the website do not quite match with my results; after some toying around i made the following pattern (us terminology), which nicely made a us men's 7-8 with an 8mm hook and super bulky yarn: ch 15 row 1: in back bump of third stitch from hook, dc inc. dc in back bump until last st, then 6 dc in last st back bump. dc as normal on other side until last st, then dc inc. slst into first dc. row 2: ch 1, sc inc x2, sc x3, hdc x4, dc x4, dc inc x6, dc x4, hdc x4, sc x3, sc inc x2, sc, slst into first sc. row 3: ch 2, dc inc x2, dc x15, (dc inc, dc) x5, dc x14, dc inc, dc, dc inc, slst into first dc. this is a bit of a looser weave which shouldn't be a problem with double-layer soles, but if this is an issue then hdcs could probably be used in place of dcs. in that case, a repeat of row 3 with additional hdc inc around the curves could be used to replace lost height/width if needed. i think this could be upscaled/downscaled pretty easily by adjusting the number of sc/hdc/dc in row 2 and then the dc streak in row 3. for reference, an earlier attempt using this approach used ch 19 and was roughly 29.5 cm long, then the ch 15 version as above was about 25.5. so, each ch 1 added about 1 cm in length. i found this table to be helpful in finding size and length equivalents: th-cam.com/video/EEZQazWy1EQ/w-d-xo.html/.
Im not sure what Im doing wrong , my gauge is accurate and yarn is the same etc, but the x-large is no way size 11-13 Woman's - Its not even a size 8 woman's. I really wanted to make these for my husband but Im not sure how to go about sizing this up properly.
That’s where I’m at with it too, none of the sizes are accurate. I did the xl trying get men’s size 12 I probably go women’s 6 out of it and men’s 7 its my third try and idk how to get the size I want
@@hannahthomas4676 Sorry I didnt see your reply until now, Did you figure something out? If not, I'm not sure how comfortable you are with adjusting patterns but what I did was the first chain for the sole, I added in a few more stitches and then went from there and tested completing one sole to see if it was big enough, then went with that for the rest of the pattern just filling all stitches available in the round (instead of counting along with the pattern). The top of the slipper I just added rows until it had the correct amount of "loops" left open to do the cuff and then I followed the cuff part as per the pattern and it worked out pretty well in the end. It sucks to have to adjust on the fly and feels like your stitching blind, but its a good way to practice if you are willing to try it! :) Hope that was helpful and not super confusing!

These look so cozy and fairly easy. I'm going to try my making a pair.

Wow très bien expliqué, et je suis francophone 👍 merci ❤️🩷❤️
They look like they would be warm and cozy for winter.
Very cute

Hi! Did your half double crochets end up tight around the calf? I can't seem to get mine to look like the picture.
@@jeri5904 same, mine make a strange bulb on top of the toes.
These are gorgeous. I would also love a child’s variation and sizing for these please? Hope someone could help me. Thank you
I love all that you do! I have to have these! I can’t find your hook, but I can’t find the link! Please help! ❤

Hi! I can't seem to get the half double crochet to be nice and close together. Any suggestions?

What size women's shoe does this make? I'm trying for women's size 9
Is the yarn a size 8?
I believe Super Bulky yarn is a size 6 yarn.

Even with the first round of the second color, my sole is only 7"

The patterns nice and all but the sizes don’t match up at all…
So stinking cute!!!
