Heartbreak really, really, really, really hurts. when Leo told her, " how do you look at the one you love and tell yourself it's time to walk away" it hit me in the feels. I had to realize something of that sort today when I found out the one I love loves another and NOTHING I can do will bring his heart back to me. it's like, a stunning reality that you hope never happens. when it does you gotta grit your teeth and try not to cry.

As a man I know exactly how he feels. Not the accident part that part where she can't fall for him and he tries some much to make her love him and finally he realizes it won't happen he's gotta let her go. That was the hardest decision I had to make in my life yet.

Been there as well. It was the toughest decision I ever had to make, but it was the decision I had to make. Chasing something unattainable was not worth my sanity.
So, I met her in New York City. She is recently graduated doctor visiting Rutgers University, while I am working as a design engineer for a chain of hospitals in NY. We met at a hotel where we stayed. We dated for couple of weeks before she flew back to San Diego. She sent me a msg after a day asking if we can try to have a relationship and said somewhere between the street walks, night drives, and long lasting nights she fell for me. So we decided to see how it goes for 3 months. I flew to her place and she flew to mine(Houston) couple of times. We had great memories together. But we had differences coming up. Long distance issues, fights, career goals and what ever. I know and admitted that I loved her less than how she loved me. But I stayed loyal to her, but just didnt love her enough may be. But along these 3 months of good and hard times, I started falling in love with her and realized she is not just a 2 week fling, or a short term date. Meanwhile, she met a guy, a favorite of her family whom they wanted to marry her. She finally said she is tired of disappointing me. I could only utter the dialogues similar to the ones Leo spoke in this scene. Coz, I knew how much she loved me. This was during christmas 2015. I never msged her again, nor tried to get in touch with her. I called her on May 10th on her birthday and conveyed my birthday wishes. She msged me few days later to check how I am doing and we talked about the good times we had. They are still together now. I do not want to create any complications in their or my life. I moved on. Or at least trying to. But I hope one day she will get back to me while I am still not someone else's person. I might reply to this msg while she is sitting next to me in future. If not, Thanks to her for giving me so many good memories. Thanks for reading my story. Just wanted to share. :)

The truth is...........love isn't what it seems like in fairytales, it isn't something you wish could happen, it's not easy at all, but it's a special feeling. Have you ever loved someone and thought do you think they still love me or care for me or at least have a tiny little feeling about me?i don't know what love is but I get this feeling about a guy, every time I see I think about what we use to have, and how special I was to him at one point in his life, and how I was his everything and his only thing, and how I was only his, how much I cared for him. It's been a long 8 months. And I know that might not mean nothing, but to me it means everything. I would've thought that after 3 months without him, I would've been over him but I'm not. And I really don't want to. When I see him I still get butterflies in my tummy, I still get nervous when he walks by me, I still get happy when someone brings him up, I still cry knowing what we had probably meant nothing to him, I still smile when I hear his name. The upsetting thing is anywhere I go I can't seem to escape him everywhere I go I have signs of him there's always something that has his name or our date. I'd die to know he wants me back but I'm still trying to get over him. The truth is.......... you never know what love is until you feel/experience it. But sometimes I do wish it's like a fairytale or it's like the movies because either way they always end up together and falling in love.

I feel bad for him. she shouldn't be throwing herself at another guy though. I understand that even if a guy loves you so much, you can't just order yourself to feel the same way. It's sad but true, and nobody is to blame.

I watched this 3 years ago and finially found it again. i'm crying at how real this felt 😭😭
Its truly sad how in life we are forced to let go of the one we love in order to do what is right, I know, like many, I did it once, because her family didn't want us together, they wanted a wealthy guy of her own ethnicity(vietnamese) for her, even though we loved each other with everything we had, but seeing her sad and broken because of them, and even though she said she needed a break and was taking a trip with her brother to reflect on things, I knew she would never come back to me after that, and even though she left me, I did the right thing to let her go, because in the end I wanted her to be happy, with or without me, that is what true love is. This scene gets to me, but even though it didn't work out between us, it was worth it, it was a great experience that I will never forget, always take the positive from every experience, its not wrong to love, we were made to love, and value it while it lasts.

She had to experience her life all over again because in her mind, she didn’t have that moment yet where she decided that art was her passion and etc. and eventually she re-experiences everything (the ex boyfriend, finding her true passion in life with art, even her hair color going back to dark brown). Her and Leo wouldn’t have worked out with the way things were going because he was trying to make her remember (understandable on his part) and she just didn’t and couldn’t understand.
I love the ending where they eventually reunite by chance/fate and he decides that they should have dinner at somewhere completely new to both of them rather than going back to their old “place” (like she suggested) because even though she is similar to how she used to be, she still doesn’t have those memories and it’s still different (not in a bad way) and NOW they can experience new things together and start over.

WOW just WOW i feel so dumb right now, i watched Dear John, The Vow and Magic Mike but i really didn't pay attention to Channing that much because i'm biased by the other lead Rachel, Amanda, Alex and now that i watched 21 Jump Street i finally noticed this awesome dude, like why didn't i noticed this hot guy the first time? lol. that face should be hard to miss but i freakin' did. i wonder why.

First time I saw this show was the last ten minutes, then I saw it whole. At 23 I shared a similar experience, her being 4yr.older, she had close family, ex-fiancé, I came into her life like lightning and we fell madly in love but as her career started mine in it's infancy, she had to let me go. After she left, I locked myself away for three days, I cried, boozed up, and when I open the door for the first time and the light shined on me, I was given a second chance. To all the women who's heart I have broken and never called, never said bye, I am sorry. I am truly happy now, I have the best wife in the world.

I had this love story... I was in Leo's skin.. My boyfriend had an accident and lose his memory, he didn't know who i am.. I was there to help him, i was there when i means nothing to him, i tried so hard to make him to remember some moments... He bring back his memory but we're not together anymore... He's with his ''ex'' girlfriend now....and break my fucking heart in million pieces... No happy endings for me.

thats how my last relationship ended, she forgot who I was to her, and the way she looked at him was the way she used to look at me, the memories will always remain, she was pressured to be with someone with wealth by her family instead of me who had something more than wealth, but heart. This only happens in movies, and rarely in life, truly a beautiful scene

This is the scene where i cried really really hard. Thinking of my summer romance last year...

If you've ever been in that situation, it is not easy. It won't be easy. But a part of love and being in love is sacrifice. There's a guy that I fell for almost 2 years ago. I've always felt that I'd rather him be happy and be with someone else than be unhappy and be with me. I've never told him how I feel (and I said "feel" as in present tense because I'm still in love with him). I don't know if he will ever truly know how I feel. Looking at the person you love and realizing that you can't be with them, it hurts. I don't think it will ever stop hurting. But somehow, you find a way to deal with it. The road to finding that way will not be easy. But you do it.

I know movies tells you to fight for the person you love but the last part of the scene is the way should be in real life, when someone looks at you and says "I don't love you " you better believe they mean it. So nothing left to fight about or to prove, turn around, walk away and never look back. Simple as that.
