@EricaLaurin I don't know what book you're reading... But in the real life event that happened and in the book the real life couple wrote, they were in a car and were hit from behind by a large truck. She woke up weeks later in a hospital with no memory. That's how it is in the movie as well :)

jake had an interesting point with the "amnesia" factor with multiple interviews with the same actors and feeling he had to re-win them over.
