    I think you're the only one that can take a GM game and make it interesting for us. You are mindblowingly helpful. Pausing to make sure everyone got the points you''re making and not leave anyone behind is a class act.
    Discovered you through charlie, and man, you're a fantastic teacher on top of being fun with banter and jabs.

    Hikaru at the start was like Daniel... Trying to explain logic behind his moves... but than he kept more and more being popular and started to read chat 7/24... in the end he just plays and does little to none explanation... not at Daniel's level at least... We are truly blessed to have a Grandmaster like him teaching us... I cant describe words for this. I hope you see this one day Daniel... We are grateful to you :)

    A couple of observations... first of all this was the most educational chess video I have seen in a year and I follow a half dozen GMs and IMs. Why I say this? You explained the long term construct of the positon and when to change your approach towards it. Typically we see positional pressure leading to winning tactics or a blunder allowing tactics that then calls for a positional conversion. This video was higher level complexity and thus that much more educational. Secondly you noted that the attainment of your original plan would not suffice to convert. Many of us would have won the pawn and then had an unsatisfying draw. You showed the position could transform to more so re-set our thinking. Again many teachers showcase one single plan carried to fruition and I am left wondering how to get to 2300 never mind play a GM. You showed a sequence of plans... the game as an evolution. You are a wonderful, and considerate teacher. Thank you.

    Hey Daniel, you're Stafford video was really helpful. Would you please make a video on how to deal with and refute some weird and weak openings like Fried-Fox, Bongcloud and the f6 Englund gambit? I lost around 100 rating points on Lichess today just trying to punish my opponent who survived and when my attack didn't go the way it should he was much better in the endgame. Especially I really feel bullied and humiliated after losing several games against f3 Kf2 and some nonsense pawn push. I mean, seriously you can't play like that and shouldn't get away with it. I feel like it's a way to show that 'I can play the worst opening ever and still win coz I'm much stronger'. There's no fun in bullying someone weaker than you.

    • @user-un-known
      @user-un-known 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Premature attacks tend to not work.
      Against people who play dubious moves, just be extra solid and let them self destruct. Don't try to punish their weird moves right away, let them punish themselves.
      Improve your position, develop all pieces to good squares, get everything more or less active, and ask opponent "now what?".
      You should be able to literally push pawns against Bongcloud. Grab the center, put knights behind pawns, steamroll the opponent.
      And what in the world is Fried Fox??
