In this video I FINALLY tried Fusion Mineral Paint! I have gotten a lot of questions about FMP and I am excited to share with you the results of my first time trying it out! I also tried a new technique to update this dresser - peel & stick wallpaper! Normally this may go on the insides of the drawers but I took it a step further and stuck it on the outsides! Next time you use wallpaper, you might want to consider using a long piece that will cover all the drawers at one time (they'd have to be in the chest, of course) and then slice between the drawers. That way the pattern on the wallpaper would be continuous and not chopped up. That's what a lot of content creators do with transfers and decoupage papers that are longer than the drawer(s). Don't know if all this makes sense!

I agree!! I wouldn’t do this method unless I could use a continuous pattern.
That’s what I was going to suggest. It could have worked well with this wall paper if the seams were arranged to overlap and be cut-off at the drawer edge.
I like that it isn't continuous!

I love that this dresser has a style that actually looks like a picture frame around the wallpaper drawers as if they are art. Perfect piece to show off this technique.

I love it. Looks great! I sold my first flip today. I think I sold myself short, I think the pricing is the hardest part! But the customer loved it and I still made a good profit so it was a win for both of us. Thanks for making me believe I could do it.

It was a mobile kitchen island. Turned out beautiful. If I had room for it I definitely would have kept it. I got it for free and sold it for $100
Hi well done with the wallpaper drawers but we think it would be a good idea to seal the wallpaper with a clear sealer great job

“Putty” has been VERY successful for me. It’s a neutral, greige, looks well with different styles and decor. Like a couple hours and sold successful. I really enjoy their paints.

I really like the wallpaper on the dresser drawers.
Regarding the stains on the Wayfair couch: try using your magic green Bissell cleaner to clean the entire couch seat. Polyester fabric is durable & cleans easily. Unfortunately by spot cleaning your efforts mostly serve to highlight the cleaner areas from the dirty/stained. Cleaning an entire area - pillow, seat, arm, etc - tends to even out the color of any entire surface area.
Midnight Blue is an amazing color of fusion mineral paint!

I did a dresser for my daughter using the peel and stick paper. I white washed the dresser and added the peel and stick in a old beach wood design. I papered the drawers and top and it looks great in her beachy boho room. Your dresser looks lovely.

Not sure if it’s been said, but in the future, use a sanding block around the drawer edges with the wallpaper - the sandpaper will cut perfectly smooth edges and then you just peel off the wallpaper that is hanging over...or it just falls off from the sanding. It eliminates excessive measurements and blades. Just sand in a downward motion and not side-to-side. I hope that makes sense! ♥️

Beautiful!!! Suggestion, for staging, I think it would look more cohesive to use a silver urn with some greenery. I think the little house, books and so forth detracts from the pc. How about a goodwill video shopping for staging items? That would be fun!

Love the paper & soft white paint! I think matching up the pattern so it’s continuous drawer to drawer, and sealing the paper, will really elevate the finished look for quicker sell. I'm surprised how much I LOVE how this turned out.
My 1st piece that I painted was with Fusion Mineral Paint and I love it. I am not a professional and have only done furniture for my own home. I love the way that Fusion glides on but I will tell you that I use a water mister when I am painting with it. I find that it covers well but their website tells you to always use long strokes going with the grain of the wood to minimize brush strokes. I have used; Little Lamb, which is a beautiful light grey color, Raw Silk, an off white, Cathedral Taupe, a beautiful beige and I am just finishing a dresser with Midnight Blue. It is a GORGEOUS shade of dark blue. Fusion is actually the only furniture paint that I have used and I have been very happy with all of their products. I’m actually going to try my hand at painting an upholstered chair. There are tutorials showing how to do that. I have dyed an upholstered chair before just using Rit dye and it really turned out beautiful and I just painted the dye on the upholstered parts. It was really pretty the way it turned out. But, you have to be careful about what color dye you are putting over what color fabric. Because that is just the same as mixing colors. If you use blue dye on pink upholstery you’re going to have a purple chair. Believe me I know, first-hand experience. I love your videos and I love the way you are teaching. Thank you very much.
That is awesome! You have provided so many options for me to check out. From a general concensus it sounds like more of the FFT community is leaning towards the midnight blue! Which I have no complaints with as I have been on a blue color binge 😁

Working with any kind of white I find to be tedious, although it looks great. I'd love to see either a dark blue or even an olive or sage like green. Have you ever thought of trying transfers? Those are pretty hot right now and seem to elevate the look so much! It came out great!

Midnight blue is one of our best sellers. (I'm a stockest) Just remember you will need several coats. My favorite is French Eggshell. It is a very soft blue/teal with gray undertone. You also need to try their sanding pads in fine grit...makes your furniture feel like butter. I also love the coverage it is amazing compared to some chalk paints.
I've started using Fusion to test it out. I love the coverage and the silkiness of it. Covers really well and use 2 coats for each. I find that because it has the topcoat in it, washing brushes and hands takes a longer time so wash right away. Also don't wait too long to distress and it harder the next day. If you want to do only one colour its great but if you want to blend I use a chalk mineral paint. Straight mineral doesn't like water and doesn't blend as nicely. The colours are awesome. I've used the prairie sunset (yellow) for an outdoor plant stand and Seaside for a small table. Love them both. My take on different paints is I will definitely use Fusion for one colour items and a chalk paint (which I'm trying to find the best one for me still) for pieces I want to blend. I dont Dixie Belle or Jolie or Annie Sloan where I live ugg. That is only my opinion of course lol.

I love what you did with the wallpaper on all of the drawers! I saw your live video where someone commented you should have made it one picture going vertically, but I think it looks great the way you did it. Especially since the width wouldn't have been enough to cover the drawers! Keep trying new things, Lauren. You are an inspiration. 👍😁
I use fusion mineral paint all the time! Love their products💕 With fusion there are plenty of different products you can use for many different projects. You can also add an extender to the paint to help it last longer. I never add water to the paint as it’s not needed but keep your brush in water to keep it wet will also help spread the paint further. The paint vary’s in weight as well so like the white your using is probably on the light side so it wouldn’t need the extender as to a heavier one. I’m still learning all the technics but I’m getting better everyday💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
I've used a few different colors of fusion mineral paint. I've painted my entire kitchen with raw silk - very good coverage used 2 coats over 2 coats of primer. My other 2 favorite colors are coal black and seaside - almost complete coverage with one coat! So 2 coats looks fabulous!

I love the Fusion Mineral Paint! I used their Midnight Blue, with their Pearl Wax, on my daughter’s dresser, and it turned out really well! I will definitely use their products again, but I would like to try other brands as well. Love your channel! Great job, my friend!

So pretty! I also like that each piece of wallpaper doesn’t necessarily follow the continuous pattern.
I have been selling online off and on a lot for years. My wife has worked with me on not getting impatient, dropping the price in a day or two, lol. I am getting better. I like the wallpaper. Personally I like your style better than just one drawer. Perhaps someway having a 1/2 inch white trim around each door front would help, but I do like it as is.

I have used many colors of fusion, it was the first paint I used. I have also used alot of dixie bell. I like them both. This dresser turned out cute. It is fun to try new things. Soneone will love this dresser

Great flip 😁 I’ve use fusion in a chocolate, painted my bed frame with great coverage.
I used the leftover paint to stain a top on a bookshelf, watered down 50/50. Paint on and wipe off, it’s the best looking top I’ve done 🤗
I think the way the front outside edges of the dresser look like a frame made this piece a great candidate for the wallpaper on the drawers, like a framed piece of art.

I love the dresser. The price you have it would not sell in my area but I am going to give it a try on a smaller dresser. I think I would use some sort of top coat on the drawers because the wallpaper will start to peel on the edges.

I have used a number of colours from fusion, Champlain is my go to, the best winter white.
FMP is one of my absolute favourite brands, their Coal Black and Raw Silk are staples in my workshop. And the built-in topcoat really does work; after curing it's tough as nails. (But you can add a topcoat if you want to.)
