A big part of me would like to see you just turn around and get another Camaro; whether it be an upgrade to a 2SS 1LE, or maybe even a ZL1, but it seems like you're kind of looking for a new experience. Do you want something similar, as far as size and power? If not, maybe look at the new Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ. The new models have been getting rave reviews, and especially with the Toyota model they're really pushing the track readiness (it even comes with a 1 year membership to one of the track organizations, IIRC). Would be a drastic change from what you have now, but maybe that's what you want? If not, something like a used C7 might be a good option.
It’s never just a car when you’ve enjoyed it so much and had so many great memories in it. Especially if you’ve included your kids. Can’t wait to see what’s next.

I sold my 2016 2SS a few months back for more than I paid for. The market is crazy right now and the offer was too hard to pass up. Definitely my favorite car I've ever owned. I'm looking at putting down a deposit for a C8 in the next few weeks.

With Warranty stuff it's more so the dealership. Never claim GM did something kind but also don't say what dealership did it. It takes us a-lot of hoop jumping to get you numpties covered with some BS that is on you. If GM find the dealership they can cut them from the program. They all suck on a corporate level. Look at the Focus' Ford just shrugs the Transmission issue with. Replace it twice then charge you everytime after as if them constantly failing to fix it is the customer's problem. I don't care if it's Internet, Cars, Food... corporations ain't there to be your ally.

Simpson Chevrolet in Irvine CA is the dealer, at the time I wasn't in the position to release information because of legal process that eventually dissolved I've shared it on my IG quite a bit though since. Dealers are just as bad as the company behind it as they say "shit rolls downhill". Agreed corporations are not in it for the consumers and really don't care. I've been anti corp my entire life, some things about punk rockers never die lol. Appreciate your input man 💪
If it's not a daily driver do you think the 2ss is still worth it? It's very interesting to guess the value on these things over the next decade. On one hand were in a period of inflation and displacement is being phased out. On the other hand 2022 could very well be the last year for the V8 camaro and that tends to positively impact value for at least some amount of time. Just look at the focus RS and Evos. I've seen them with frame damage or 80k+ miles selling near at or over MSRP. I think there will be a period of 5-10 years where these continue to hold or exceed their value after the final production year before falling off. It's all speculation though. No clue how it will play out.
I suspect the special versions or even well kept versions of these cars will hold value. 1les, zl1, and the manuals will hold the highest. It's the end of not just the v8 but the manual. For me the phasing of the manual is a bigger deal than the v8. But in 30 years when everything is a refrigerator those end of the muscle car era will be appreciated. 2ss is still well worth it. You'll enjoy the better sound system 👍
I wanted a Zl1 but couldnt decide which one i would be happy with? found a brand new 7 miles 2021 black 2ss 1le A10..went and drove it and the rest is history!! love that thing!! had it for 4 months now and have put almost 4k miles on it. I cannot stay out of it! It is a Amazing car!! You are right about the extras...well worth it..when its warm outside the seats go to cool on start up and when its cold the go to heat..Its a very nimble and agile car..I have crossed over a incline or something and felt the back tire come off the ground...its very rigid!! wouldnt take anything for it!! Yup and usually on a incline in 4th. It goes away eventually or you just don't notice it anymore. Many other people noticed it to. Nature of the beast.

I feel the same way u do about gm, I had too many issues with my 2018 ss, shrudder transmission issue, leaks in the trunk slowly getting to the fuse box, easily scratched paint. Had fun with it, but kind of glad I don't have to deal with it anymore, I got hit by a drunk driver and got a incredible pay out for it, was totalled

Great car, horrible GM experience etc. 4 years ago I went to Kerbeck Chevrolet, Atlantic City, NJ, one of the largest Corvette dealers in the country. I called and made an appointment prior. The whole experience from start to finish was so bad, I left (after I had to beg and finally threaten them for the keys of my potential trade in) and bought a 911 . The Porsche experience was night and day. My thought was, if they are treating me like this when buying , what would the service experience be? What a shame, I really wanted that Corvette Grand Sport. Looking forward to your new car.
I just traded my 3 Turbo for a Mustang Ecoboost Premium Performance Pack. Loved the 3 to death but I wanted a “cooler” car. Besides having a manual and RWD the Mustang is worse in every single way than the Mazda 🙄 Trying to make the best out of it but man am I pissed at myself
I had an Eco for a year and loathed it overall. It would legit cut power after a few pulls and never sounded good, even with mods. Should’ve gotten the Shelby GT350 I was looking at before prices went crazy. That Mazda 3 Turbo has a really nice interior, I’m sure it was a good daily…
Cody, I love your perspective man.... if you are going to do this and want a 2SS... save up and do it. We pretty much only get one more chance at this, so if you are going to do it.... go all the way. Your experience with GM corporate, was the same as mine with Ford during my last Mustang GT. I just wanted to thank you for all the content and everything you have helped me with on my 2SS 1LE, just by your videos and who you are. Like I said before, will always be a supporter and will be watching for what you do next.

I get a lot of heat at work because I work at a Ford dealer and I own a 2SS. They are better all-around vehicles than Mustangs. I like the Stangs too but these 6 gens just feel tighter and are more pleasurable to drive in the street.

Sad to see her go, as your car was one of the ones that really inspired me to place an order for a 2SS 1LE back in mid-November. Hoping there's no issues with getting one, as with all the constraints and chip shortages a lot of people seem to be having problems. It will be my first V8, and my first American car in general, and I admit I'm a little nervous with how dealing with GM will be, assuming I ever have to. I'm hoping having a good relationship with my dealer (worked there for 11 years, and have bought many vehicles through them) will make things a bit easier should I ever need to go that route. Looking forward to seeing what's coming up next for the channel!
Thank you bro for the words. You'll love the car. IMO keep all your maintenance outside of the dealer. Either yourself or reliable performance shop. Only use the dealer for warranty items that are too difficult to get fixed. Otherwise you'll absolutely love it. Don't look back great choice.
@@Hot-1LE Thanks man! Was going to custom order a 2SS but I called a dealer 40min from me on a whim and they had a sale on a 1SS fall through with someone who put a deposit on it. Build times are crazy so I plugged my truck into carvana and had a few k in equity. Now I'm here. Sorting the details out and hopefully picking it up by Monday or Tuesday. First sports car so can't wait. Hopefully my tires last longer than yours LOL!

Hey man. Been watching your videos for a while and am sad to see your 1LE go. I'm from Germany and have ordered my Shadow Gray 2SS (non 1LE) with the 10 speed auto back in early 21 and received it just about 2 months ago. It's such a great vehicle overall, too bad I was only able to put 800 miles on it before winter came around. I really hope 2022 is gonna be a great year for us all and that you'll be able to get your next car and be same as happy with it. Sucks to see GM letting you down on that clutch story though. Imho there's just not a whole lot out there, that could compete with the Camaro SS / LT1 and I just wanted to experience that feeling of driving some true american muscle once more, before they unfortunately pull the plug on these amazing vehicles. Oh, I wanted to add a little advice on the next car. If you decide to go Used ZL1 be sure to check the clutch because, as you may know, people beat on them. I would hate for you to have to replace a clutch right after you buy it, especially with the drama you've been through. I thought about it because I couldn't afford a new ZL1 and just got the SS1LE with the peace of mind of it being new and Hennessy is in my backyard here in Houston if I NEEDED the power.. That's my 2 cents, for what it's worth.. Good luck man!

I would have kept it... They are bullet proof cars and you will be hard pressed to find one as reliable. Ford and Dodge are no better when you have certain warranty issues. Some people just plain abuse the vehicle and of course it will only take so much of a beating. You will miss your Camaro.
I have a 2018 SS. I love it and could get a lot more money then I paid for it. I do want a ZL1 and I’m thinking about it. I will see what I decide. I’m sure you will get a brand new one.✊
Damn this hits hard in the feels. Been there more times than I care to admit. Saying goodbye to a car when it has been much more than just a car is never easy.
The two car brands to stay away from is ford and Chevy. Their service departments suck so bad. I have a massive panel gap in my PP1 GT mustang and the dealership tells me it will be 4 days of work and they might fix it. If it reaches their requirements which is pretty sad saying they “might fix it” 🤣
Yaaa... You can fix a lot of those gaps yourself and not have your car stuck to a body shop. When I had my 15gt panel gaps were horrendous. I spent about an hour on the entire car and repositioning those panels. Look so much better. Good luck bro, merry Xmas

GM’s current lifter failure issue is ruining my last chance to get one of these. Currently have a 21 Silverado and the constant worry about lifter failure totally ruins the whole ownership experience. Not wanting to take a brand new vehicle on a road trip sucks. Might have to get a challenger. Idk might get the ss anyway but my point is you’re right about GM. I love their vehicles but don’t trust them. And that sucks.

Maybe it’s because I’m a car guy and just love the joy of driving, but it’s definitely a part of you. It becomes part of your personality and part of who you are. Get a GT350. If you want to stick with GM, get a CTS-V. Hard to go with GM after a bad experience though. GM is horrible in regards to customer service. I’ve dealt with them when the dealer polished my 1LE hood right off the lot. But after months of back and forth communication, GM corporate took responsibility and reimbursed me + more since I had to get my hood re wrapped elsewhere. Good luck man.

I feel the same way u do about gm, I had too many issues with my 2018 ss, shrudder transmission issue, leaks in the trunk slowly getting to the fuse box, easily scratched paint. Had fun with it, but kind of glad I don't have to deal with it anymore, I got hit by a drunk driver and got a incredible pay out for it, was totalled

Hey Cody! I know that you’ve made the right decision. Definitely sucks letting the 1le go but in the end I know that you’ll find something that will fulfill your need for speed and G force haha. Great car, horrible GM experience etc. 4 years ago I went to Kerbeck Chevrolet, Atlantic City, NJ, one of the largest Corvette dealers in the country. I called and made an appointment prior. The whole experience from start to finish was so bad, I left (after I had to beg and finally threaten them for the keys of my potential trade in) and bought a 911 . The Porsche experience was night and day. My thought was, if they are treating me like this when buying , what would the service experience be? What a shame, I really wanted that Corvette Grand Sport. Looking forward to your new car.

I just traded my 3 Turbo for a Mustang Ecoboost Premium Performance Pack. Loved the 3 to death but I wanted a “cooler” car. Besides having a manual and RWD the Mustang is worse in every single way than the Mazda 🙄 Trying to make the best out of it but man am I pissed at myself
I had an Eco for a year and loathed it overall. It would legit cut power after a few pulls and never sounded good, even with mods. Should’ve gotten the Shelby GT350 I was looking at before prices went crazy.
That Mazda 3 Turbo has a really nice interior, I’m sure it was a good daily…

Cody, I love your perspective man.... if you are going to do this and want a 2SS... save up and do it. We pretty much only get one more chance at this, so if you are going to do it.... go all the way. Your experience with GM corporate, was the same as mine with Ford during my last Mustang GT. I just wanted to thank you for all the content and everything you have helped me with on my 2SS 1LE, just by your videos and who you are. Like I said before, will always be a supporter and will be watching for what you do next.

Agree with you 💯 % when it comes to Chevy service .. they are terrible .. maybe depends on the location, but I tried too many and seems like they don't have any high standards to serve customers with quality professional manners .. But I love the car not the brand so I bought it again 😅 ..

I get a lot of heat at work because I work at a Ford dealer and I own a 2SS. They are better all-around vehicles than Mustangs. I like the Stangs too but these 6 gens just feel tighter and are more pleasurable to drive in the street.

Sad to see her go, as your car was one of the ones that really inspired me to place an order for a 2SS 1LE back in mid-November. Hoping there's no issues with getting one, as with all the constraints and chip shortages a lot of people seem to be having problems. It will be my first V8, and my first American car in general, and I admit I'm a little nervous with how dealing with GM will be, assuming I ever have to. I'm hoping having a good relationship with my dealer (worked there for 11 years, and have bought many vehicles through them) will make things a bit easier should I ever need to go that route.

Thank you bro for the words. You'll love the car. IMO keep all your maintenance outside of the dealer. Either yourself or reliable performance shop. Only use the dealer for warranty items that are too difficult to get fixed. Otherwise you'll absolutely love it. Don't look back great choice.

@@Hot-1LE Thanks man! Was going to custom order a 2SS but I called a dealer 40min from me on a whim and they had a sale on a 1SS fall through with someone who put a deposit on it. Build times are crazy so I plugged my truck into carvana and had a few k in equity.
Now I'm here. Sorting the details out and hopefully picking it up by Monday or Tuesday. First sports car so can't wait. Hopefully my tires last longer than yours LOL!

Hey man. Been watching your videos for a while and am sad to see your 1LE go. I'm from Germany and have ordered my Shadow Gray 2SS (non 1LE) with the 10 speed auto back in early 21 and received it just about 2 months ago. It's such a great vehicle overall, too bad I was only able to put 800 miles on it before winter came around. I really hope 2022 is gonna be a great year for us all and that you'll be able to get your next car and be same as happy with it. Sucks to see GM letting you down on that clutch story though. Imho there's just not a whole lot out there, that could compete with the Camaro SS / LT1 and I just wanted to experience that feeling of driving some true american muscle once more, before they unfortunately pull the plug on these amazing vehicles. Oh, I wanted to add a little advice on the next car. If you decide to go Used ZL1 be sure to check the clutch because, as you may know, people beat on them. I would hate for you to have to replace a clutch right after you buy it, especially with the drama you've been through. I thought about it because I couldn't afford a new ZL1 and just got the SS1LE with the peace of mind of it being new and Hennessy is in my backyard here in Houston if I NEEDED the power.. That's my 2 cents, for what it's worth.. Good luck man!

I would have kept it... They are bullet proof cars and you will be hard pressed to find one as reliable. Ford and Dodge are no better when you have certain warranty issues. Some people just plain abuse the vehicle and of course it will only take so much of a beating. You will miss your Camaro.

The two car brands to stay away from is ford and Chevy. Their service departments suck so bad. I have a massive panel gap in my PP1 GT mustang and the dealership tells me it will be 4 days of work and they might fix it. If it reaches their requirements which is pretty sad saying they “might fix it” 🤣
Yaaa... You can fix a lot of those gaps yourself and not have your car stuck to a body shop. When I had my 15gt panel gaps were horrendous. I spent about an hour on the entire car and repositioning those panels. Look so much better. Good luck bro, merry Xmas

GM’s current lifter failure issue is ruining my last chance to get one of these. Currently have a 21 Silverado and the constant worry about lifter failure totally ruins the whole ownership experience. Not wanting to take a brand new vehicle on a road trip sucks. Might have to get a challenger. Idk might get the ss anyway but my point is you’re right about GM. I love their vehicles but don’t trust them. And that sucks.

It’s not just a car, even tho folks who don’t understand will tend to say that. I get those feelings whenever I trade in any vehicle. Maybe it’s because I’m a car guy and just love the joy of driving, but it’s definitely a part of you. It becomes part of your personality and part of who you are. From dreaming of owning a modern muscle car since I was little to finally having one , you can’t help but get a little emotional when you’re in a situation where you have to move on from it. I dread the day .

Get a GT350. If you want to stick with GM, get a CTS-V. Hard to go with GM after a bad experience though. GM is horrible in regards to customer service. I’ve dealt with them when the dealer polished my 1LE hood right off the lot. But after months of back and forth communication, GM corporate took responsibility and reimbursed me + more since I had to get my hood re wrapped elsewhere. Good luck man.
