Hi, I drive a jeep compass and having the same GPS problem since over a Month. I called dealership and my car is over 6 years now and U connect said it's caused due to a solar storm. Dealership said it will charge over $130 just to look at it. I'm glad I was not going crazy!
I have the exact same issue …. It will eventually connect but I have not been able to resolve it…. I think it’s a Uconnect issue specifically with the radio as opposed to the car itself …. It’s very frustrating though …. I feel your pain!

@@EastCoastJeepSRT Lol. Mine has been broken for 6 days now. GPS Thinks Im in Upper Black Eddy , Pa which is 47 miles away from where I actually am. Ugh. Hasn’t fixed itself yet. Will keep ya posted.
I have a 2015 ram 1500 slt and I got the 8.4 unconnect with nav from infotainment, I'm having the same problem , I'm in oregon but my nav says I'm in Canada! Hopefully it fixes it self 🙏 really frustrating
I had this same issue on my RAM truck. It would lose signal and have no uconnect cell signal either. Happened twice and corrected itself twice. Took it to the dealer and they have a TSB on the issue. Pushed software to the unit. Time will tell if it fixed it.
I’ve been losing the gps satellite signals since October 2022. I have a 2017 Durango. It has been into the shop at least 7 times for this issue. First they made me update the system, that lasted two days and went out again. They put in a brand new radio/nav unit and that went out two weeks later. They put in a second brand new radio/nav unit and it took about a month and then it went out again. A few weeks ago they replaced the gps antenna, and my nav has gone out again twice . This last time it went out on Tuesday and is still not picking up any gps satellites. They are at a loss and said they can take the dash apart and check all the connections, but that could cost a couple thousand dollars. They cannot give a guarantee that they can actually find the issue.
How did you resolve the issue if the GPS im having similar issue. I replaced the antenna today had not noticed that it was i should say the the plastic part came off. When I try navigation it has no idea where I'm at
I have the same problem with my 2018 Dodge Durango GT. I also have a full extended warranty on my vehicle. I went to the dealer, they diagnosed the problem and will completely replace the media center.
I have a 2017 Charger with the same navigation problem at 18 000 miles on it. I still had warranty when the Covid lockdowns happened . When had the chance to contact Chrysler group said I have to pay cause my warranty is expired. This will be my last car from this brand.....
Mine started to do this weeks ago and i have a 2018 dodge challenger RT , it currently says im in georgia but im in california and i took it to the dealership two days ago to get a replacement radio which shouldve fixed the issue but still the same issue

A lot of your videos on this channel are of issues with your Jeep. So if you have no issues that means less videos, you know what I mean? But I would be curious to see what you will get after this Jeep.
For over 2 months, mine showed no satellite signals and no gps, location and navigation was off. Today, I figured it out. Car gps and navigation ( 8.4 uconnect ) works perfect now… when my phone is plugged into the usb. I guess the trial ran out. Who would pay 600 bucks to continue it when it works with the phone and you have both the car navigation and Apple play???
When I had my 2015 jeep SRT..same issues..however. my water pump failed 4x's in less than a 6months period..gps failed once, it's been traded in 4 a 2017 SRT..with no issues as of yet..
My '17 Renegade GPS failed a year in. It was still under warranty but never bothered to bring it back. Everything else in the infotainment screen works fine. Like all car NAV systems, it was so clunky and non-intuitive i never even used it. It's so much easier to just pull out my phone and tell the evil empire (Google)where to take me and rest the phone in the cupholder. Subaru doesn't even offer NAV anymore. You get your Android phone screen mirrored on the dash.
This started yesterday for me with my 2014 Cherokee Trailhawk. She's six years old, though, not three like this SRT. I'm guessing the GPS unit is shot. No signal and zero accuracy. Vehicle thinks I'm a few miles away from where I actually am.
Well, just came in from spending the last 45 minutes updating my UConnect software to the latest version to see if that would help. I was on version 17.11.17, updated to version 18.45.01. It appears that all of my issues are now resolved (at least with the Jeep). I have GPS signal again, was able to sync the clock with the GPS, and the GPS now tracks my vehicle accurately. I was prompted to calibrate the GPS after the software update by driving to the nearest main road, which I did. All seemed fine after that. Hopefully it holds. I'll know after some more driving tomorrow.
What work for me is I disconnect the + and - form the battery and put them to together for 1min and then put them back to the battery that work for me I Have a 2014 Durango
Well you all think you have prpblems, my uconnect says I'm central Moscow, when in fact I am 1996 miles away in the UK ( or old England, to my American friends). No answers on any Forum. So I was forced to take it to Jeep. After 4 hours they said, it is a known issue and we have logged you on their bulletin page. When they have 50 plus, they'll look into it. "Okay, how long will that take?" We don't know yours is only the 2nd time we've come actoss the issue, don't hold your breath! Mine is a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. I've owned it for coming up to 3 years and it's had every known fault: Tone wheel Valley water pipe Door locks Tpms always wrong Head lights Electrical gremlins Software issue Fake warning signs Glow plugs Maf sensor Map sensor Bad keys Now uconnect says I'm in Moscow...you can't make it up! So I cant sell her with issues, but I am kind of done. This will be my last Heap ( sorry Jeep!)
I have 4 friends with SRTs 14-16 two of them have had trim issues and all 4 have had very minor issues , you my friend have a LEMON maybe not by the law statue in NJ, but you do have a bad vehicle , Dump it !!! As for the GPS that could be a signal issue.

Never figured it out. It would work sometimes and other times it wouldn’t. I got rid of the car

was this ever resolved? my ram recently had this issue after getting back from the body shop. it worked to get me to the body shop but not home.
Thomas Clemente I resolved it by trading in the Jeep. I was never able to fix this issue.

My Dodge Charger is doing the same thing! It started 2 days ago. I bet they want us to buy an update or something.

Sounds like GPS antenna is either bad or disconnected.
Guess I'll find out later this week. Have to make an appointment for Friday with the dealership.

BTW. It does work....Sometimes. When I'm driving people we take bets whether it'll know where we are. maybe 2 out of 5 times it'll know where I am.
My 2 year old Chrysler just did the same last week showing me driving in the ocean...and about 80 miles away from my actual location...
Were you able to get it fixed? And how did you do it?
@@dhwanitthakker8337 had to get the whole unit replaced by the dealership. Under warranty... Otherwise it would be $2k+ I believe.
