    You need to let management know that your stove doesn't work. They have to either fix or replaced it. Even if you don't use it, it should still be working. It comes with the apartment. Check your lease agreement to see what it says about repairs. Your paying rent that's not an option. Always report to management when something is not working; needs to be repaired or replaced. So that you don't get accused of breaking it. And keep a record and/or photos if necessary. If you don't report it, it will make you look like a bad tenant. And possibly withhold your security deposit. Part of renting, being a tenant, is upkeep. And never move into an apartment if anything is not working or damaged. ❤
