Knowing his lore in the mod, it really goes to show how pissed off he is about Boyfriend (or rather us, the players) attempting to break the game he resides in, especially after he shifts to his overdrive and beyond forms.
This song for Glitchy Red is okay in my opinion. But that transformation bit at the midway point caught me off guard! It looked like glitches just EXPLODED out of his body or left arm going by the art here, it looked CRAZY! His chromatic afterwards....you can't even HEAR his actual voice anymore, the glitches and bitcrushing are too overpowering. Then with his in-game sprites being a huge cluster of glitched assets and bits with barely any sign of the original Red. My takeaway was that Red became one with MissingNo. his essence now just another part of the glitched anomaly that kinda was the impetus for his creepy pasta. I might be wrong with that last part so feel free to politely correct me if so.
My take is that rather than one with MissingNo, he became the game's very core. It ended up being too much for his body to handle, and he resided on some other plane with his body being a glitched and distorted mess of code. As a result, his body became barely able to hold itself together, and his entering into that reality would have caused the game (And therefore his body) to break, and that's exactly what happens in this song.
@@fogsster Very well put. My interpretation wasn't as eloquent as yours, but I also interpreted it as Red ceasing to be the character Red and becoming the game itself, which is why you can see his Pokémon fusing with "himself" during the glitchy explosion.
honestly as sucky as that situation was it means that all of _his_ songs get remade, and that includes missingno and isotope, so they might somehow get even better
I prefer listening to the Lullaby Glitchy Red casually over this one, but this track is 1000% more accurate to the character and creepypasta. As are the visuals, let's give credit to the artists/pixel artists as well (and for whoever wrote the past lol!)!
As good as isotope was, it didn’t really feel like I belonged in a horror mod ( let alone Hypnos lullaby) I’m glad Mafunction feels well at home as not only a glitchy red horror song, but somewhat feels like it can be in Hypnos lullaby

Yeah it's kinda sad since I really liked the teaser chromatic but I'm not complaining with the new ones either since they actually sound good and also make Glitchy Red slightly menacing. Though I do wonder if it would be possible to get a full version of the song with the old chromatic
