I think there is a crash possible. Go to Forest Illusion 4, make sure you have: Yoshi and Cape powerup (or what you call it) then, play through the level normally, then grab the blue shell once you find it. Get it inside Yoshi’s tongue, then fly until Yoshi swallowed it, then spit it out and there is a glitched Blue Shell, you can use that to remove the bar from the end. Just a theory that I think it’s possible to crash the game. Edit: I think you also need the Power Up Incrementation Glitch to crash the game.

I did power up incrementation glitch until i got one that crashes upon touching a flower. I think its around power state 20 so it will take a while.
