    I've been doing business analytics for a little less than a year, I came across your channel, it's very interesting and informative, I discovered a lot of new information for myself, thank you. I'm waiting for new videos, I really like them.

    Is G4 this bad or am I missing something? It looks awful and useless change by Google.

      So I'm not alone on this. It is horrible and UA is way better.

    Sometimes when the mic hides some letters your shirt reads "Anal mania". Sorry I had to say it. Thanks for a good tutorial!

    Hi, despite we put data retention as 14 months, we are getting only last 1 month data in G4A reports, kindly help on this

    So is there no way to marry up your historical UA data with newly collected GA4 data (now that UA has stopped - or is about to)? I get that you can migrate events to pick up the same events in GA4, but how to report UA and GA4 together as if Google never changed to GA4 from UA?

    Thank you for the video! For the GA4 configuration tag, does it matter if the trigger is 'all pages' or 'all pages-initialisation'?

    Can we use the UA triggers in GA4? After July 1st will it work? @analytics Mania

    • @AnalyticsMania
      @AnalyticsMania  ปีที่แล้ว

      Triggers are not connected to any analytics tool. So you can use same triggers for GA4 and GA3

    Thank you so much for your video! My old UA and its event were hard coded, but I'd like to install GA4 through Google Tag Manager. Can I leave the old UA as hardcoded even after the GA4 setup?

    • @leea4839
      @leea4839 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah you can leave the old UA setup. could be good to double check values against the GA4 version

    I have wait 24 hours but I still can't see the value on the revenue. but I see the value on the debug view. Do you have any idea why?

    • @AnalyticsMania
      @AnalyticsMania  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you don't see revenue numbers, you probably are not sending all necessary parameters. For example, currency is necessary and many people miss it.

  • @jj-iu1fm

    How do I re-use an event parameter when creating a custome dimension in GA4? For example I have an event parameter click_text set up for a custom dimension but when I try to use click_text for a new dimension it says there is already a dimension registered with this name. I'm trying to re-use the parameters to avoid adding to many and reaching to max of 50.

    • @AnalyticsMania
      @AnalyticsMania  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So maybe you already have a registered dimension named click_text? If yes, just use the click_text parameter in some other event and it will work fine

    Hi! If I have embedded my gtag.js in the head and body of my website, do I also have to configure the GA-4 tag configuration on GTM?

    When is the right time to transfer from GA to GA4 and how to do it?

    • @MichaelLim-ms8bp
      @MichaelLim-ms8bp ปีที่แล้ว

      Google’s Universal Analytics (UA) will stop collecting data on July 1st, 2023.
      After that, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) will be the default platform.
      You should do the transfer as soon as possible so you would get used to the program quicker.

    Do you do courses in GTM for Apps and not only websites?

      @@AnalyticsMania okay thank you for the quick reply! Just one question you don't have any knowledge if GTM can be used for GA4 on apps then?

  • @tipstricks3766

    It looks like in GA4, we need to setup event parameter same as condition in tag manager i.e. when to fire event such as if page URL contains 'page_name'. Is that right?
    What shall I use the parameter if I need to track click for footer link click?

    Question... I had my Universal Analytics set up already but have not even opened my store yet. I assume that I still have to migrate correct? Also there is one part in the set up that talks about copying some Google code and pasting it in every coded page on my website is what it sounds like. Does that mean literally every coded page becasue my website has a lot of those as I used a 3rd party theme for my store form Out of the Sandbox though Shopify. Thanks

    • @AnalyticsMania

      I would strongly recommend spending some time with Google Tag Manager. Julius' GTM beginner course set me on my current career path.
