Snow in Airdrie (Scotland not Canada) December 2010

This is what Plains in Airdrie was like BEFORE the major snow fall on Monday 6th December 2010. Although still passable when this was filmes at 8:30am, the roads were soon blocked by vehicles unable to negotiate the slippery conditions. This was the day that the M74, M8, M73 and most other roads were eventually closed for more than 24 hours.

Don't talk to me about abandoned cars! The day I filmed this it took me ages to get home because some %*^&ing muppet left a car so nobody could get past. If your car won't go in the snow - WALK!!

I spent 6 months there in '72. Haven't recognized anything yet. Although, one would expect change to happen in 40 years. Will be looking at this video for Caldercruix, My g-father and father used to own a pub there. If I ever get back, I intend to find that. Along with a task of two more. My parents were married in the Wellwinde Church on Bell St if memory serves correctly. God bless to all. The Yank.

have you got winter tyres on the van, or are you one of the few people out there that knows how to drive in the snow?
are you still also hampered by abandoned cars on main roads(like in cunbernauld) because people are to lazy to dig out their regular parking places !!!

Yeah, My friend lives thier so when I went down I was like I have seen this before haha . Please let it snow like this again it was brilliant except from when I kinda got stuck on the motorway for 9 hours but oh we'll my cars electric so at least I didn't run out of petrol
