Airdrie is ruined by closing down most of the favourable shops that airdrie once thrived in. Its not what it used to be. All you see opening is takeaway, and tan salons. 👎👎
I agree the music does kinda spoil this. There should be music more in fitting with Airdrie to capture the essense of the place. So some Orange walk nonsense tune about fenians should do the trick, maybe have a guy dressed up like a tangerine, singing whilst throwing a stupid looking stick in the air.
As well as been demolished ( because it was collapsing inside ) Council has built flats above ground floor shops ( they are all unoccupied as are a lot of others in town ).

My father was born in Airdrie in 1922. I visited with my dad in 1975. Looks very different from what I remember.
