No one wants to be dictated to.. its lovely to have free reign over your decor although it is quite lovely to be recognized and appreciated for your work around the home. 💚

If you put something in the bottom of your planters especially the large ones such as empty water bottles aluminum cans etc.works as a filler and doesn't take as much soil and the pot is lighter. Love from Missouri.

Absolutely love rainy days. They are my favorite kind of day. Especially in summer. I can’t stand being outside till it’s about 8:30pm. The sun feels like it’s cooking my skin. Love being at home and being a wife. My husband doesn’t care what I do as well. He doesn’t do crown molding but he makes me happy. Enjoy your camping trip. ~ Janet 🥰

When I was young, I hated rainy weather. But as I grew older, I realized that rain is a blessing from Him (Hebrews 6:7). What started out as a form of judgment (Gen. 7:12) is now a visible sign to us that He still loves and nurtures His creation. Now I love the rain and I always thank Him for it.

We live out in the country on beautiful land surrounded by nature. I'm also a homemaker, stay at home wife and mom. Cook everything from scratch, homeschool, garden, small poultry farm and I also never like to leave my little house on the prairie. ❤ My husband also lets me just do whatever in our home. He knows that I am extremely budget friendly and hate paying full price for things. Most of our decor and other needs come from the thrift store. 😂 He understands that we are here a lot and that I just want a home that makes me feel happy and comfortable.

Happy Monday Sarah, family, and fur babies. Safe Travels. It's Winter Time here in PA. I grew up in PA and had all the 4 seasons. Never bothered me until I got older. Summer is my season, July my Birthday on the 15th. However, now the winter's ugggh. MY Husband on the other hand loves Cloudy days, and is an Enormous Snow lover. STTB

So sweet about your husband , ha ha!!! My husband does not notice anything either, I think is a good thing , we can do anything. I miss California and my Bouganvillias. They cannot survive here during winter. You are so blessed Beautiful planters and flowers 🌸 💚🙏love to be home as well. I think is age thing also because a year ago for the first time I started to appreciate the sun and started to not like the winter snow here.

I feel so badly for you, having all that sunny weather! LOL. I live in Ohio, and a couple of weeks ago we had a heatwave that lasted over a week, with heat indexes 102-105, We also get a lot of rain, I don;t mind rain too much unless it is time to walk the dog.... He does not care for the rain at all! Take time off if you need to. You should not have to apologize for taking a break! I love my home also. My home is my safe haven, and it is where I love to be, my husband also pastors a small Baptist church and that keeps us busy as well.

Hi Sarah, when I plant BIG planters I fill the bottom with something light like styrofoam, I save it from packages... that way you still get the drainage and the pot is lighter for moving around and saves on the dirt(also keeps styrofoam out of the landfills)I've seen people use 2 liter plastic bottles too. Your potting soil will also go a longer way for other pots.🎍

I sure wish the evenings cooled off here in Florida, it doesn't cool of until about November. Every now & then we'll have a evening that's not to bad, that's bareable. But June thru September is just really bad day & night🥵 We get plenty of rain, at least a shower almost daily, but it don't last long & the heat soaks right up! Just today I looked out the back slider.. dark skies with thunder & lightening, then out the front door was blue skies & sunshine😄 The dark finally took over, had about a 15-20min thunderstorm with about 5min of rain.. then it was over. Typical Florida 🤷‍♀️ Lol I'm total opposite, the older i get the more i can't take the heat! I don't go out much or do things where I be out in the heat alot. I loved my Tennessee weather! It gets steamy in July & August but fall starts in September, Fall & Spring in Tennessee are amazing! And I love winter too. I love snow! I'm going to miss the weather terribly!! And the beautiful landscape that God has painted there, especially in fall! I use to love the heat & hate the cold, after a i turned around 50, that flip flopped on me🤷‍♀️ I didn't get to plant my flowers this year as we've been in the midst of moving. But I'm excited for next year. Tropical plants are common here. Hibiscus & bougainvillea literally fry grow wild! The Monstera plants and other large plants like that are very common in the landscapes. Plants that don't do as well further north. Hibiscus is my favorite flower! I know I'll have lots of those. I had a bougainvillea when i lived in NC but it was just bush size, here they grow crazy large, they run like wisteria & they're beautiful! People have beautiful flowers here, different than I'm used to so I've got lots to learn! I always plant a hibiscus every year, but they grow into a bush here & thrive!! Lol honey my husband is the same way.. I can bring in something new & a year later he still hasn't noticed!😆 Girrrrl I'm right there with you!!! I don't understand why a man wants to do that, i mean like my son is better at decorating than his wife because she really never cared about those things. But since they've been married they do things like that, Christmas decorating, etc. together. But neither dictate! I couldn't, and wouldn't, handle that well!😬 My husband & I are the exact same! If you take time off I do understand, but I'll definitely miss your videos! I truly enjoy the relaxed & laid back vibe, they're very peaceful to me. Home is my very favorite place to be! I do love to go thrifting & antiquing, and sometimes to a mall to do a little shopping. I do love going to the mall during Christmas holidays, very pretty & lifts my Christmas spirits. I did all the traveling & vacationing & all the things for years. Now I'm fine right at home! We'll go visit in Tennessee, my daughter & her 2 children are there as well as many close friends. We have a our family in NC, we go visit there. I do like to do a little "off the grid" getaway with my husband a couple times a year if possible. But for the most part, I'm good right at home. That saying "there's no place like home" is so true for me! Right now We're staying with my son, DIL & baby, looking for a police. But this is home for now so 🤷‍♀️ But I'm so excited to find a place! God is moving us into another season. We had A mens recovery home in Tennessee. Here, together with the church we are attending which is my DIL's dad & grandpas church, we're planning to start a next step program, a transition home. Something they've wanted to do for years & my husband, also a pastor, had been feeling called to do this. The recovery home is still there, we ding close it! But most of the men coming from recovery homes, and ours was a home not just a program, need the help with the transition, or next step. But God will work everything out. When he calls us to do his work, he's opens the right doors, at the right time. I'm just thankful he intrust us to do this. I hope you have a very blessed July, tons of fun with your family, and if you decide to take a break.. enjoy every single minute! I pray many blessings over you & your family 🙏🏻 TFS😊

I love rainy gloomy days, but I get really depressed in the winter. I live in Ohio, and the weather is bipolar here. And for my house, I get to do whatever I want, and he deals with the outside . He wouldn't notice if I bought something new every day. He says he loves how our house looks.

Something I learned quite recently is to never use Garden Soil in pots. Instead always use Potting Soil/Mix. That might be the reason you mentioned your plant in your pot wasn't doing that well. Never even knew there were different kinds of soil for pots versus in ground. Learn something every day.

I like having different seasons. We are having a heatwave at the moment and I am not enjoying it! My husband also leaves all the home making decisions to me and totally trusts my judgement.
