Gotta love how most reviewers seem more interested in complaining about a camera that is 1/10th of the price of the nearest competitor,.... but you sit here and show how to work with the footage and pull great results from it. That is much more useful to potential buyers, to see the results that can be achieved. It's the same sensor as the AJA Cion and BMD 4K bodies, so you might find a Linear to (insert preferred Log choice) output colourspace transform will get you close. On the Cion, the White Balance can be switched to 'disabled', so you just get the pure red, green, blue pixel data, and the sensor does have a jump to the blue base level at any exposure, you might want to factor that in when choosing filters.
Amazing! This is the review I've been looking for. So much capability and flexibility with the Wave Camera. What lens did you use for the leaf water droplet shot at 5:35? Great work!
Hello... I currently own the Red Komodo and when i shoot handheld in 24fps it is not very stable. It is actually pretty shaky. Have you shot in 24fps and is it shaky? I know many DSLRS like Canon and Sony have a great stabilization... but want to know how steady this camera is? I just don't like using a DJI Ronin since the set up is a pain but also don't want a handheld shot being so shaky. Thank you in advanced
what are the maximum frame rates you can do with cropping the sensor? like at a 720p or 480p also are you getting cinemadng or a raw file for the videofiles? i have the chronos 2.1 and am considering the wave because it has lower that 1000fps which is chronos default. its nice to have options rather being stuck at 1000fps just to start
Let's be honest, unusable in 2k and even in 4k the colours are often weird especially the reds, never natural. The Chronos 2.1 has even worse colour issues sadly. I suppose you get what you pay for and only the Phantom cameras are going to be totally pro. Thanks for sharing.
Such a good tip on finding the saturation (bumping all up, and pull down the extreme colors). Thanks man!!

Incredible stuff!
with this kind of good quality you dont really need ember . nice vid
Excellent work!…. What software did you use for video editing?
Thank you for the kind words! Premiere Pro for this video and the majority of others I create. Rarely After Effects or Davinci for color.

That was cool.
I don’t need it… I don’t need it… I don’t need it…
using canon lens . how to change f stop ???
Need to use a separate DLSR and adjust (sometimes you have to leave it on while disconnecting the lens or it'll switch back to default)
how do you control the focus considering this camera doesn't have auto focus?
I'll only use auto focus to shoot photos on a dslr, other than that, everything else is manual focus
@@oltjp i'm in the middle choosing between Cronos & freefly wave for motorsport scenery using parfocal lenes. what your best advice.
@@AUTOSARTID Wave all the way, for the resolution and continuous run time
