They do go under water just not more than 12-15 feet, and they have all the ways sealed and only the entrance is fitted with a big pipe like thkng that sticks out of the water .. every bit of air thats needed by the crew as well as the conponents like engine comes from that pipe like pole thing.. also going underwater is avoided generally as a lot of prep is needed and the high current of the water paired with some bad luck results in the tank going upside down resulting in the suffocation of the crew

The answer from a guy I know who was in artillery is that there's no air conditioning specifically, but for the cold you get a heater, and when it's hot you can turn on the NBC system which apparently gets the air nice and cold.

I actually like the underwater question, because some tanks can do what’s called Snorkelling, where every hatch and gap in the tank is water tight, so they just get a tube to feed oxygen to the engine and crew, and then bam, you can cross a river as deep as you snorkel is tall
They have a gunners station inside the turret. In a pinch the tank commander can also take control of and use the main gun from their position if the gunner is incapacitated.
fun fact the very first tanks actually only had peepholes for you to fire your rifle from. they kept falling over easily so they had to build short metal railings in case you had to get out when it did tumble

A lot of these have multiple correct answers depending on the vehicle you are talking about. For example, amphibious tanks like the DD Sherman did in fact float. The T-14 Armata tank has a latrine in it. There are also several vehicles that have snorkel kits that allow them to go underwater to a certain depth.
