    Do you get concerned with a toddler (19 months) who likes to keep her tongue out when she’s not eating? My little one often has her tongue sticking out/seems to bite it when she’s concentrating on something or playing at rest.

      We want to ask why it’s out and not up in her palate allowing her jaw to be in proper position, with lips closed also allowing for nasal breathing…

      This is an airway issue. Check the palate, if it is narrow or arched, then possible there is tongue function issues.
