Kirsten Limage I big chopped my hair last month and it’s somewhat the same length as hers, and I wash my hair once a week. You can wash your hair twice a week if you want to🙂your choice.

I’m growing mine out in a taper too!! My tried and true methods to help: rice water rinses, black tea rinses, and hair, skin, & nail vitamins. Deep condition with warmed up shea butter, honey, olive oil, and SheaMoisture’s manuka honey and mafura oil mask. Hair be growing like weeeedddddss, I tell ya!

This changed the game for me! My hair is low porosity, 4c, and I was struggling to retain moisture. I followed these steps and added the Miss Jessie products, and IT CHANGED THE GAME! you are always so beautiful btw! just so you know you should put the oil on last because it creates a before which doesn’t let your other products like gels absorb properly, it can be the same with skincare. I think it will be so much more beneficial if you put it on last. your curls are so beautiful and defined btw

Thank you for this! I recently chopped off my hair (by accident but kind of on purpose...long story lol) and I’ve been layering products on my hair just like you do but my curls don’t pop like yours. My hair is a little longer so that may be the reason but who knows. Also when I apply products I get that white residue too but it doesn’t dry that way. Of course it’s winter and I live in Connecticut so it get super cold/dry up here so I need to do the most to keep moisture. I’m gonna tweak my routine a bit after seeing this video. I forgot about the coily custard!! I need to bust it back out again. LOVEEEEE the mane choice edge gel!! It literally does freeze my hair into place, and layers great over a pomade for extra insurance (my edges are just stubborn af) but it really does work!! Totally gonna keep this a part of my routine

I have the scalp brush and I love it! I also use my Q-Redew steamer (more in the winter) when I deep condition! I’m growing my hair back (at the top as well) it was super short. It’s hard staying away from my barber, but I’m just getting line ups to keep it all neat and cute during this phase lol! Can’t wait to see your growth. 💜💜😍

Im excited for your hair growth journey. I did my second big chop a few months ago to a tapered cut. Its more of a fuller tapered cut but I will be experimenting with the length for a while.

Ayyy this is about to be exciting, I’m trying to learn how my hair works like keeping it moisturized I just bought the Shea moisture raw Shea butter conditioner to see if I’m actually using products that are to watery so to say.
Hav u ever thought bout using wrappit styling strips to lay ur edges. They're awesome for it. I believe it's better than scarfs n other materials we use to hold our edges down.

I'm very ignorant to ways of handling natural African hair since my mom is white so I've just decided to stop getting keratin treatments and relaxers and finally chop it all off and maybe grow it back later when I'm brave enough to do so or have enough information lol.
