I agree about Baltany, because what they do, they do right. The use of proper no-date movements is something I increasingly value. They mostly very high quality crystals. The radial brushing of the bezel insert reminds me of the Tudor Pelagos 39.
I would actually watch more of these videos if it was clearer what they were about. I like this channel, but if I have the choice between watching a video where I know I'm interested in the subject, versus a video where I might be interested in the subject, I go for the sure thing.
Touching on your comment about why Baltany is respected. To me it feels like Baltany are watch enthusiasts who work on their craft and keep getting better over time as opposed to San Martin which is a bunch of talented people with excellent resources at their disposal who produce very high quality watches. Just a generalization of course but oftentimes their products do feel that way. Think I just talked myself info adding more Baltany watches to my collection :)
Don't know the brand, don't own any 'Ali' watches, but I like this. I would buy it, own it, and wear it. Great review, and a great looking and functioning watch to me 👏👍
Very nice. If Baltany starts tackling the bracelet game, SM better start looking in their rear view mirror. Thanks for the great review. This watch is awesome. Assuming you’re reviewing the vintage Date Just Homage next?
Perfectly inoffensive dive watch. The bracelet needs more taper but other than that. If you are after a generic dive watch this will do the job nicely.
Great review. Am liking Baltany more and more. Am thinking the Explorer 39 could be next. Can you do a review on that soon? Keen to hear what you think. Keep up the great work! 👏🏼👏🏼
I'll be honest, it's a very nice looking watch. It does, however, scream Sekonda in its styling. Finished, without a doubt to a far higher quality. Still looks very Sekonda to me unfortunately.
@ilikewatches I bought all my Baltanys (5) from 'Baltany UK'. They carry stock in Nottingham, England, their prices include import duty, postage, speedy post office delivery and a filled in warranty card. What's your beef with them? I've never heard such puffing and blowing as you grudgingly admit that it's a very good watch; didn't you get it for free?
@@michaelbedford8017Hmm. I didn’t catch this on my own but after reading your comment I can see your point. The review did sort of sound like he was being made to do it, like if his parents told him to tell his big sister she looked pretty in her dress.
Firstly, the warranty is recorded via your purchase on the AliExpress platform, secondly, those cards are for the watches sold away from the AliExpress platform on .com websites and thirdly...THIS WATCH WAS SENT FOR THE REVIEW AND NOT PURSCHASED SO THEY CONSIDER IT A MEDIA WATCH AND NOT A TRUE CUSTOMER WATCH
@@ilikewatches That's the longest, most convoluted way of saying you got it for free. Naturally, you don't worry about warranties when get most of your stuff for free.
Your thumbnails are useless these days. I know you do it to make people click to view more but they are identical from video to video. Makes your overall videos list pointless as there’s no way to determine from titles or images what any of your reviews are about.
"narrowing rectangle" = trapezoid
I really like that male end link that does not go past the lugs look

Hey Alex…hope you’re well!
@@ilikewatches Not too shabby, and you yourself? 😀
You know ... we'll still watch your stuff even without the "contrived suspense" of not showing the dials in the thumbnails anymore. 😊
Thanks for the feedback

Ali watches are insane value....that's the best way to describe them I think
It is an homage. It's exactly what an homage should be. It was inspired by the past without trying to be a copy (or almost copy) of the past.

Please do this with a white lume as well
I told myself I wouldn't do this for a while, but, I put it in my cart. Dam
Nice, but Baltany have to shape up with OTF adjustable clasps, Come on..🤷🏻

I’ve reviewed it already…a while ago admittedly
@@ilikewatches ah thanks, I missed that. Just watched - the usual excellent standard. I think they updated based on your gripes! 👏🏼👏🏼
I actually really like this one, it just needs to be under 13mm thick.
I've been staying away from AE, but Baltany is the one brand that keeps pulling me back in
😂
Beautiful watch. Really wish they’d just offer non-fauxtina versions of all their pieces.
The lume looks more vintage with the 'imperfections.'
Wtf 14mm thick. You can do vetter
I like it, the blue is very nice. Have you considered to review the true north pepsi homage?
It's a SeaQ case.
I'm just glad it's not a GMT 😂
Elongated trapeziums?😂
lol….are you guessing?
@@ilikewatches sounds good though Gary! 🤣

it has a 70s style mixed with a slight inspiration in the case at Glashutte ? 🤔
Is it starting to scuff near the top of the bracket,
Not a bad looking watch
That is often the downside to this style
I have very good experiences with Baltany, but this design is a bit on the safe/boring side…
When you buy from AliXpress, what do you have to pay on top of the price on the website (in the UK)?
Thanks.
Tax is 20%.
Anything under £135 and the site charges the vat but over and it’s a lottery…some get picked up, some dont
@@ilikewatches OK, thank you.

62MAS inspired?
Slightly….
Excellent looking watch, just the name puts me off buying one unfortunately
Looks great
I think it's a winner.
Very nice
Hate the yellow vintage look. It’s time to be modern again
How about that they fill-in and stamp the warranty card! SOMETHING YOU NEVER TALK ABOUT.

Low beat movement for over $200 😅
Sorry but this is just another absolutely plain looking boring diver.
tired of diver/explorer watches it's time for gentleman normal watches
Seiko lol it's a planet ocean all day long lol hardly original

Too generic
