theres no fucking way this guy just, on his first attempt, ran through the first couple rooms faster than i've seen anyone do it, ran back to buy the new rocket launcher because he forgot, did the rest of the level without dying or even hesitating really, then did by far the cleanest sisyphus fight ive ever seen. then read the entire lore section at the end. and finished in time for P. then just casually transitioned into doing 6-2 damageless in 43 seconds. what the FUCK.
I'm actually kind of curious on how Sisyphus calls V1. Gabriel calls V1 a "object" or "Machine" Minos a "creature of steel" while Sisyphus calls V1 a "Weapon" but also "Child of man"
maybe in the future hakita will update both the model and the area to look similar to an actual panopticon jail cell or something consider these as an early prototype of the boss

Yeah this is going to be hell to P-Rank. I just completed the level for the first time completely blind and on violent with 70 restarts and then just came to see if anybody had P-Ranked it on Violent and well ofc someone has lmao.
Something that people probably have said dozens of times and refuted just as many, but when I first played this level, I got the distinct impression that we weren't supposed to be here. Minos's prison felt oppressive and isolated, but most of all, adequate. Like the Council was satisfied that he wouldn't get out. (That or hell saw what we pulled off with the other one and decided it would up the ante) Sisyphus's prison however felt desperate and heavy handed but thoroughly inadequate. They knew it wouldn't last, and they tried everything to ensure that when Sisyphus broke free, they'd at least have a running start. Plus the voice suits what we know of the character, imo. Minos's kingship was one of genuine rule, while Sisyphus always seemed like the biggest guy on the yard, more of a Spartacus type character, so the reserved, stoic sadism Lenval Brown delivers with the voice really sold it for me, though the manic laughter when he's dying should have cut in a little bit later, the abruptness of it is a bit goofy. God I love this fight, cant wait to spend the next month relearning the game so I can P-Rank it
the leviathan was made of the bodies in the river, now ocean styx that gave up fighting and sunk this means, as long as there is bodies in the styx, there can be another leviathan that forms which means, it could perfectly appear again if it somehow finds it's way out of wrath or hell moves it around

Sisyphus is great! But he simply doesn't live up to Minos. Minos just had this feel to him that Sisyphus didn't capture. It's like Minos took you dead seriously in contras to Sisyphus behavior. Maybe the voice acting? Maybe he speaks too quietly? It may just be that his motives aren't as impactful as Minos'.

I can't exactly say the same of Sisyphus, but his voice acting is still great and fits the character very well. Since he's the successor to Minos though, you have to compare the two, and Minos is better in that regard. I'd probably say this with the music as well. Lust had better motifs than Greed, and the Requiem part of ORDER hits like a truck. I don't think even if you tried you could make Sisyphus' theme sound like that, and even if you did it wouldn't really fit his character. I believe the theme we got fits him nicely, but it's missing some kind of "oomph" and edge that I feel the rebellious King Sisyphus should have. Maybe we could have got something like The Death of God's Will but for ORDER, you know? I have a feeling that a lot of the hate towards P-2 right now is a whole lot of bandwagoning. I have seen scarcely any valid points against the level. It's all "it's too hard/too easy", "they didn't use tenebre rosso sangue as the theme for sisyphus" and "sisyphus wasn't as good as minos." It's weird how people bash Sisyphus for not being Minos yet also criticize him for being too much like him. He's fantastic in his own way. Read his log in the terminals, I guarantee you'll like him more.
Minos had alot of buildup prior to fighting him. Fighting through his city and the subtle hints in lore that he's become a prime soul stuck inside his own body. His story is tragic and sad. Sissy prime had only a couple mentions, and his body in the sawblade room. For me, it's the buildup to fighting him, that's what makes Minos better for me, because you cheer him on even when you gotta kill him. Sissy is badass don't get me wrong, but his lore doesn't hit as hard and this was more of fighting a side character rather than an Antagonist (Minos).

Before beating P-2 I saw this video's thumbnail. I didn't hear anyone talking about Leviathan being on this level so eventually figured it wasn't there. Now that I beat it today, I can say that it was indeed not there, however wish it was. It think it would be pretty fun. :D
This is an awesome and informative video, I learned that I'm not using knuckleblaster enough lol and your movement is absolutely bonkers, those damage are insane and I've read in the comments that you cancel the knuckleblast animation by whiplashing to use it consecutively is absolutely nuts! I just P-ranked this level a week ago and upon seeing this video motivates me to go back to ULTRAKILL to play some more.
I love how Hakita really made it obvious how much stronger Sisyphus is than Minos. With Minos we had to pretty much destroy the flesh prison our selves before Minos popped out, with Sisyphus we just hurt it a little and he breaks it him self.
I played through P-2 on violent for my first attempt too and got pretty close to this run. It only took me 160 tries and 70+ minutes to get a D rank. So basically the same.
I dunno what Hakita thought about this while making the update I guess he looked at most of the Ultrakill videos by the community and thought about having a regular level part where most of the enemies were those bosses, and the fact that there were Blessed Mindflayers? Dude. That's just- Nah. Also, since they made it so that Mindflayers can't be instakilled by the Cybergrind, it's gonna be hell
