You guys have helped catechize me and have played a big role in my decision to become Catholic! I'll be confirmed next Easter. Thanks for your wonderful personalities and pedagogy!
Fr. Richard, Thanks for being that wonderful priest I needed in my life to help me to love being a Catholic, since I lost my husband 9years ago, after raising 7children, you helped me understand how much I needed God in my life. Peace to you. Lucy Laudenbach.
Happy 10th anniversary, Father Rich! Thank you for being one of the instruments of my reversion. You and the Ryans made me realize that being Catholic can definitely be awesome.
Fr. Rich, Congratulations on your 10yr anniversary! Your ministry is so touching and full of love. I am grateful for you and for all of your love and kindness. Praise God for you!
Happy Anniversary, Fr. Pagano! Your love for the Lord is evident! Your account of your discernment during your sabbatical is extremely touching. I love what you said about being in a $#*%# spot, but loving the Lord more. This is the bottom line for all of us! Do we love the Lord more than our sin and our pain and our suffering? Thank you for choosing to serve Christ in your Vocation as a Catholic Priest. Thanks to all you guys for bringing so many closer to Him.
The first Holy Mass I attended was in a farm field in Iowa, precided over by Pope St John Paul the Great. As a boy, I was raised in Germany, very close to the Iron Curtain and saw first hand what "socialism" is & what it's not. More than any other man, he saw the end of Soviet Communism (which, is now trying to destroy the USA), oversaw the writing of the catechism, and taught the Theology of the Body. I am fully convinced that these three accomplishments will fundamentally change the world. Priests like Fr. Rich are a fundamental part of that. Thanks for the show. Pax
JPII je najdraži svetac moga života i u mom hrvatskom narodu je opće popularan jer je prepoznao našu stoljetnu vjersku tradiciju. Sretna godišnjica! Hvala za ovu epizodu. Puno pozdrava.
I cried watching your faith experience and your connection to St John Paul ll. I live in Orlando and one of these days I will drive up and hopefully be able to meet you. You are truly a blessed man of God. ❤️
What an awesome, powerful show. Thank you for sharing the emotions of your calling and thank you for allowing us to be part of your life. Bless you always.
Congratulations!!! Fr Pagano, Thank you!!! Doesn’t even express the emotions I have for this show and your service. I wish all priests have your passion for your vocation.
Happy 10th Anniversary as priest Fr. Rich! This show had taught us, Catholics,so much. You are truly a gift to us. Praying for more, more years in your journey as priest. May God keep you healthy and safe always. Thank you God so much for life oof Fr. Rich!!!❤🙏
*Fr Rich (aka, "Fr Hanky") - We love & appreciate all you do for our Catholic faith. Keep your heart exposed - We love that about you. May God & JPII continue to inspire your heart & steel your soul ~! XO
God bless you on your anniversary, Fr. Pagano. Your passion to love and serve Jesus and His people is truly beautiful. May you grow in the joy of your priesthood throughout your life!
Happy 10th anniversary of your ordination! Thank you for saying YES! Keeping in my everyday prayer that Jesus keep you close to His Heart, and bless you abundantly in time and in eternity🛐🛐🛐❤️.
I remember the torrential rain the night before your first Mass on Pentecost 10 years ago, then during the Mass the sun rose and broke through during the Mass!! So beautiful!
May our blessed Mother 🙏 protect your priesthood. May you continue to bring souls to God 🙏 by His loving Grace and love for you. How wonderful is God .
Happy anniversary, Fr Rich. Many thanks to your family too for giving up their son to serve God n his people for all your days. Continued blessings n protection.
Congratulations Fr. Rich on the ten year mark of your ministry. You were definitely called by God. Thank you and the Ryans for being a major part of my journey to Jesus. You three are very special to me. Thank you for your service to others in God's name Father. The Holy Spirit inspired your show for sure.
I was at a mass recently where there was a recognition of everyone graduating from anything. Mostly it was college graduates associates through masters (we just didn't have anyone getting a doctorate). The bishop was there and blessed us (I was graduating from an adult programme in pastoral ministry at a Catholic University in our diocese [to add, no I am not ordained beyond the general ordination of the laity. . . for that matter, and yes, both my Bishop and Priest know it, I am not even catholic]). After the Bishop's blessing, he called for a short round of applause. We then continued with mass. Most felt that it added to the mass, by sharing in the achievements of the members of the community of the church. It was done, as you mentioned, right at the beginning, between announcements and the formal beginning of mass. However, yes, there was applause. As far as socializing before mass, first, it is in the vestibule, not the chapel. Second, the church has done this by getting rid of the coffee and doughnuts after mass. That socialization is community building. In the chapel, I agree. In the chapel is normally a directed rosary. This is an important opportunity for people like me, to practice the rosary. It is also a different form of community building. As far as not donating in the basket, I typically just don't have any actual cash with me. Yes, it is lazy, but I prefer to just sign up for an automatic donation. My fear, as I don't give, is that as people don't see others give, it becomes acculturated to not give. People just don't see the silent giving so they don't form the practice. . . but yes, I give silently. The final one of your pet peeves I will comment on is dress. Yes, it is important to dress in a manner that shows respect for our fellow parishioners and to God. That said, my wife is a member of a large, but non-mainstream, church that pretends that they are all prosperous middle class in an idealized version of the nineteen-fifties. Everyone wears coats and ties, except for women who will not even go into the ward meeting hall on a non-church day without a dress on. It may have been because we were in an extremely high poverty area, but it felt like everyone was faking, all of the time. I am glad the catholic church is a lot more informal.
Happy 10th anniversary! My husband and I just watched this and loved the show. You guys are awesome. Cheers to many more years to come! God bless you all.
Great episode! It would have been interesting to hear what were the thoughts of each of the Ryan's when they learned that their common friend: Richard Pagano, was going to the seminary to study and become a priest. My understanding is that all three of them knew each other when Fr. Richard was a layman.... Fr. Richard, I will continue praying for all your intentions. God Bless!
