We’ve been looking at new travel trailers and they ALL have that dark, depressing brown interior. We are actually thinking we will keep our trusty old 1997 model because the walls are light and it is just more cheerful and makes it look bigger. Sure, one could paint, but if I’m buying a brand new camper I’m not going to paint. There should be options for light interiors for the money they charge. I love the “dove tail white” paint used here. Beautiful.

This is one of the coolest RVs I have ever seen. You have made great use of your space and it seems like you have made everything work for you in such a small space. I especially love how you didn't sacrifice the things you already had such as the kids clothes. As well as reusing the pillow case as a curtain, that was very clever. Very good job!

Just found your channel! Love it. My husband and I traveled with our 2 young daughters in a motor home for a couple yrs while we were missionaries to churches near military bases. He pastored for over 40 yrs and after that worked for Christian Care Medi-share(still does off and on) but now we plan to sell most of our possessions, donate a ton and hit the road full time in May. We are just now starting to search for a motor home. Our plan is to travel for 3 yrs and then reassess. We're excited about what God has for us in the coming year. Looking forward to following your journey!

Amazing organization:) I have 5 kids and we bought our 2016 285LX PROWLER and I am now getting ready to start my organization inside the trailer and getting ready for rv living . This is our first time living in it so atleast now I am an ideas on how to organized stuff specially when you have multiple kiddos.

I love how you decorated your RV and organizated everything. You did an absolutely amazing job.
I lived in a camper this size for 6 months. Both closets and spare room filled with my clothes and shoes. You've done very well with pairing down.
As for the shower head idea...I have had it said to me more than once by other traveling families that they use the shower heads with the on/off switch right on the shower head...the ones that you can buy at a medical supply store for people who are disabled and have to sit during showers...well apparently its great for RV's because of water waste and so forth...you only use what you need and poof hit that switch and more water on demand...I got one for my mother at home as she had a stroke...and after seeing how it works and how she uses it, it makes total sense for an RV with kids...especially if your water supply is limited...ours has a good long hose to allow for rinsing off feet etc...and its made by äquasense"...it was a bit pricey as we got it at a specialty store for medical supplies and I am sure if you looked elsewhere you would get it much cheaper...love it...good luck!

You've done an awesome job making this RV your own. I've been watching a ton of videos over the past couple months, since we got bit by the RV bug. Yours is the prettiest one I've seen!
Truly a fabulous video...thank you sooo much for some really great tips...I have just purchased a school bus and am at the early stages of the conversion. I have custody of my three beautiful grand daughters and will be hitting the road next year for some fun filled adventure with my little peanuts 13, 10, and 4...It was such a down to earth video and strait forward and REAL...lol...none of the "fluff"that one really doesn't need to hear when trying to fit a family in a small space. Absolutely one of my favorites (and I have watched a lot of video's ... LOL) I just subscribed...sure hope to see lots more of you and your family...best few minutes of my time spent since deciding to do this...safe travels to you all and blessings from our family to yours!

We live in our trailor all year as well. We bought a paper towel holder that goes on the wall under the cupboard or the side or wherever on Amazon, we looked everywhere including rv stores and the one we chose was on Amazon and it works fantastic!!!

We have a 3 year old who is a bundle of energy all the time. We are nervous mostly about the times when we have disagreements and are stressed and need space. Do you have any thoughts on that? Natalie Longoria hi there! Sorry it took so long for me to see this! I missed your comment at first! 😬 Yes tiny living can definitely be a challenge at times when things aren’t going well. The space gets extra small then! When the kids are being too crazy and we need a break we send them to their beds with some books and close the curtains and the door, or put a movie on in their room. Then we can think for a second! It’s also good to just get out the door and go drive somewhere or get outside as much as possible! As for maintenance, we really haven’t had to do much on the RV other than lube some connections and grease the wheel bearings! But our tow vehicle has had a lot of expenses. We have a 2000 Ford Excursion diesel and it’s great but it’s older and we’ve had to put probably $4k into it since we left in October. 😬 Let is know if you have any other questions! -Ben

This is awesome! Husband and I just bought an r.v and we are thinking of making it into a tiny home of some sort for us since it's a pretty darn big one. It'll be temporary for about 2 years so we can save up a bit n stop paying 2,000$ a month for a 2 bedroom apartment. We are a family of 5! We live in southern California and it is so difficult to find a place to park an r.v! Thank you Soo much for making this video. Just wanted to let you know they have a magnetic paper towel holder that you can put on your hood vent i have one works great
You can also buy a ratcheting one designed to keep the paper towels from spooling out in transit.

One tip, in the bedroom, they have on Amazon, a bedskirt organizer (shoe holder) that
goes around the skirt part
of the bed, so your shoes can be hidden and/or you can use the other one for other things, or I’ve seen also, you can cut that one and staple it around the wood skirt of the bed.

I'm sure you have found this item by now, but Ikea has a shoe storage set-up that takes up little room and would work great in your room. You could put it next to the window or by the door and you can walk by. good luck

You really do shine. A TIP FOR YOUR SHOWER: I saw a video that had a garden hose with nozzle. It saved them a ton on water usage. Especially when boondocking. Great video and awesome camper! I love seeing stuff others have done. Couple questions. First, did you do anything to the wallpaper before painting the walls? I have wanted to do some painting in our 5th wheel but no sure about the wallpaper. Second, did you go over the wallpaper with the tile in your kitchen area? I love that tile idea and would make it look soo much better in my camper. Lastly, have you had any problems with the command strips falling off the wallpaper? We have put quite a few command strips in our camper, but it seems like half of them fall off after little use. Great video again, and keep them up. I have been watching quite a few of them as of late. God Bless!

Go grocery shopping for what is needed! Breakfast and lunch is pretty much always the same, so we just replenish those when needed! -Ben
Your RV looks great! I have a suggestion. You know how the shoes in your bedroom don't let you walk by, well how about if you store them under the couch. You can use under the bed storage bins. Then you could walk around your bed! Blessings!
Lourdes James great suggestion! Since this video, we have rid ourselves of that shoe organizer. It was always in the way, and it even started breaking the door! We now have a basket for the shoes in the corner of the bedroom. Still not the best setup, but better! Thanks so much for the suggestion! -Ben

Really like your space. One quick suggestion. I started adding wire shelves inside of cupboard. It actually creates more space and helps to organize.
Nana's Corner such a good idea! We considered doing that in the bathroom but have found that with the extra pantry in there we have so much space we need to purge stuff. I guess I didn’t need to bring a neck heater and toilet paper for four months haha 😂
Put the paper towel holder above the freezer ! That's where I have mine and that way you can get a towel holder from the dollar store ;))

The best shower heads that I have seen in tiny houses or RVs are these really cool shower heads that have a stopper button on it so u can conserve water and there also low flo so u use less water. I would check online first just type in Low Flo Shower Heads For Tiny Houses and A lot Of Really Good Opinions should pop up. Enjoyed ur video a lot. Love ur RV I didn’t know you could get a bunk room in an RV that’s so awesome

Hi Karen, good question! We set out on this journey planning to be in the RV for about 1 year. So we should be on to other adventures before the kids outgrow their beds! Many other exciting travel plans in store!

We are buying a trailer similar to this one and plan on living in it for a year... but I have 6 kids ages, 12,11,9,8,6 and 3 so I’ll have to be pretty clever but you have given me so many ideas. Thank you!
Becca DeVore oh wow! I thought our trailer was busy! Lol. Well if you’re ok with some sleeping in the living area, then you’ll have plenty of space between the couch and dinette. Otherwise there is still quite a bit of room to be creative with in the kids bedroom! Good luck and safe travels! -Ben

Tann thanks so much for the encouragement and kind words! The sofa that was in there was so flimsy! There were 4 screws to get it loose off the floor. You did such an amazing job! My family and I have been living in a travel trailer for almost a year already and I took so much away from your video. Because there are still things I am wanting to change. We are in a 2016 Jayco Jayflight 32 TSBH, what kind of trailer did you guys get? Awesome, I wish we looked at your style before we bought. I love ours I just like yours a bit more. I felt like we looked at thousands of campers and the bunkhouses were always crappy, so thats why we bought the one we did. It is holding up great. No problems yet, but just squeaks every now and then haha. I posted a video to my tour I posted on our camper. I have an updated one that I need to post. How was ripping out the carpet? we need to rip ours out but I am worried about matching the flooring we already have, how did that go for you?
Yes there are definitely a lot of options out there, and the bunkhouses are always the difficult part! Ripping out the carpet actually went really well for us. I am working on a video about that, but we lucked out by having some left over vinyl planks from our home remodel that matched the existing trailer floor really well.
