I love the food section of this the most! So clever how they made everything from scratch. It also makes you grateful for having access to these foods in modern times that only the rich would have eaten then.

My mother came from Boston, and she was fond of lobster. One very popular lobster dish of the early/middle 20th century was a "lobster roll", which was a "New England style" hot dog bun (the kind with the split on top) filled with lobster salad. I daresay that somewhere in her travels, Victoria might have been served a freshly baked bread roll along with her lobster.

I think they only have a limited time in the castle, and if the dish is time consuming they get the other guy to prep for it.

This particular Yeomanry regiment wore the "Czapka" or lance-cap because they were originally equipped and armed as a lancer regiment, so they charged with the bamboo lance, rather than sword. Lancer regiments all wore the Czapka, originally of Polish design, ever since Napoleon created the first lancer regiments in the Grande Armee.

George's young son inherited the title after George was murdered by his brother Edward the IV, albeit he was given a choice he chose to drown in his favorite wine, Malmsy, after many treasonous episodes against his brother, the King.

However oils that are NOT cold pressed, GMO & over processed can be damaging to the body... & the environment - soybean, rapeseed - where native forests are burnt for the land.
There's more damage in sugar & carbohydrates.
