RR Spectre is actually mega. Although at Goodwood last week we had Dave Richards from Pro Drive use 100 miles of range in 3 laps!

On McLaren, loved seeing Norris and McLaren win in Miami yesterday. They're a championship winning team and as a Surrey man, I'd love to see them back up there.

Jaguar- never seen the E type but the F type was definitely an aggressive looking car with a great sounding engine. I heard an R drive past a few months ago and got chills down my spine!

Easyyyy now. Another great one guys how do you keep each one frsh and enterataining current and just lisenting too. by the way my nephew had a Griffithe when he was a jounior doctor on call for RTA's and blew away a police motor cyclist who was escorting him to the sight ( on a BMW by the way) being told not to drive that fast after he finally got there. Still have to grine at that

I must admit, the marketing guy who sold the MG brand to the Chinese as a brand British people love deserves a raise. I have the same view as Joe. As a 29 yr old I've only ever known MG make utterly tragic cars.

Did I miss something, if so, I apologise, but did you forget to mention JLR? Over 10,000 people employed at the plant in Birmingham alone.

My Exige (that you drove - ped) had only 1 fault in 3 years (it ate its cars under warranty) other than that was faultless. It replaces a 981 Spyder and a 718 Spyder replaced the 430CUP. They are all 3 very different. Porsche make very consistent cars. You always know how long it will take to stop, how fast it will accelerate how well it will take a corner, what the steering will do. The always do the same thing. An Exige is quite inconsistent in its throttle response, handing, road placement which makes it a car you have to learn and a chunk more exciting.
The Emira makes a Lotus more like a Porsche, more consistent in its inputs and outcome. For me its a more exciting drivers car than my 718 Spyder and I prefer it do drive HOWEVER it has a tiny boot, the roof doesn't come off and it has a square steering wheel. So its not for me (for now) as I need a touring car and desire a convertible.
Also a normal' 718 Spyder has more torque than the SRS and actually unless you rev it out to 9k there is really no 'performance' benefit with the SRS, only volume.
Thanks for the 675LT big up :-) I know almost all the owners and very rare to have an issue.
Great Pod cast thanks guys :-)

Morgan should have made the Inos Grenadier 4x4 as they are not making enough at a Smart factory.

Rolls Royce is probably closer to American ethos of luxury sedans than British. Styled in the GM 70's theme instead of anything local

I do wonder who repairs any damaged Tesla’s. I mean it appears difficult to get parts or panels. With a lack of a dealer network and independent body shops (I asked two local shops) not wanting to work on a Tesla if panels are needed.
Will insurance companies stop offering cover because the length of time needed to repair a Tesla takes such a long time, the cost of the cover car and body shops charge a massive mark up to work on one. Will insurance companies kill Tesla by not offering cover?
P.s. I am located in Germany

    • @fraserwright9482
      @fraserwright9482 หลายเดือนก่อน

You have the same for aluminium or composite carbon cars. It is not a unique Tesla problem. My S8 has higher insurance than the RS6 due to the alloy body. BMW i3's have high insurance as you have a carbon tub. Plenty of people working on Tesla's as they are no different to other cars fundamentally, a Merc B class has parts shared in loads of items underneath. This is no worse than owning a JDM or US spec car in Germany as your body shop won't work on one as they can't get parts in a timely manner. Plus this is only if you have an accident that damages the car, you can cut panels from donor cars, the Range rover (and Kia) problem was they are taking the entire car. Hence the insurance cost being a whole car to replace instead of paying a panel beater to spend time physically bashing it, versus them slicing panels in

This has been my least favourite of your podcasts in that you missed out Mini and insulted two of my most favourite of my nearly 40 cars I have owned in 32 years of driving the MG ZR and ZS. The ZR was one of those cars that fits like a glove and you knew exactly where the limit of grip was but it wouldn't put you in the ditch. The ZS 2.5L V6 180 BHP that I had with an Induction kit was one of the best sounding cars I have had and in X Power Grey with the large Spoiler looked so good that Gordon Ramsay stopped in the middle of a piece to camera for his TV show to watch my car park up in Inverness twenty years ago. Even after these slip ups yours is still the best motoring podcast with two of the best TH-cam creators. Thanks guys.

I dare you to try the base MG4 at £26k. For the money, for a new car, it's very competent. Don't be so brand obsessed Joe, BMW have made some duds over the years.

I would disagree with your advice to get a Motorbike licence, middle aged men are the highest risk group. Unlike young riders, Women or anyone who starts on a smaller bike. Men over 35 believe they can use car driving as a sidestep it.
