Ducati 916 Monoposto: walkaround and quirky details

Recently bought this pristine 1995 916 and doing a walkaround.
It’s amazing how simple these bikes were, so purposeful in their concept yet beautiful in their final execution

I’ve often wondered why Ducati build the 996 and 998 at the same time, why build two bikes so similar?

I used to keep my 748 in my dinning room. Wife and kids now so that is not going to happen anymore.

Ducati had Cagiva built these early 916 bikes in their factory because the Ducati factory burnt down otherwise Cagiva would have had no involvement in it
