Following another historic treble, Bayern Munich have once again proved that they are the team to beat in all the worlds where football is the focal point of people’s daily lives.
The Bavarian giants dithered a little in the beginning of the 2019/20 campaign, fired Niko Kovac and brought Hansi Flick. It was widely believed that the Germans might struggle to retain their title for the umpteenth time.
However, Bayern Munich returned to their usual dominating selves soon afterwards and ended up retaining the league title as the likes of Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Schalke 04 offered little to no resistance.
In the last few years, the Bavarians have fallen short in their quest to dominate European football. Pep Guardiola arrived at the Allianz Arena a few years ago to help the team lift the Champions League. However, it just wasn’t to be.

@@Alan-eb6zi last season bayern had lot of injuries. both cb were injured that is why alaba went to cb and davies played pavard was injured javi martinez and hernandez. tolisso was injured thiago injured sule injured lewa Groetzka injured it was nightmare if not for pandemic bayern would have had serious trouble in champions league because of injuries. Only guy i have seen resistant to injuries is thomas muller.

@Nota Troll Liverpool would not be fazed imo. Take Koman for example, largely ineffective last season against them, but looked like Ronaldo against PSG. Couldn't get the better of Liverpool defenders. Same for Lewandowski. Matip scored Bayern's only goal.

I think Schalke is portrayed way to strong in the beginning, they weren't a real contender for the title the last years and they aren't bitter rivals of Munich. Also nearly no one thought that Schalke would be a tough opponent, after not winning 16 games in a row and losing to 3rd or 4th tire teams in friendlies (which was also shown with a 29.0 betting quote on a win of Schalke)

Idk but ancelotti was good, if it was not for referees. Kovac was good too, he wasnt bad either but he wasnt the top team coach. He would work much better with mid table teams.
The main culprit who destroyed it was Guardiola, we lost our identity, his transfers costs, and his humiliation in semis were really painful.

The only thing that worries me is the Champions League. Yes, they are the best team right now, but with that tight calendar and small squad, I think they might get some players injured. Bayern Munich have the best team in the world right now and I believe a team, a system and a club to dominate for the next decade but as with every other great clubs of the past, AC Milan, Juventus, Manchester Utd, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, time will catch up to you or a simple change in tactic carried out well by the opposition will find you out. I hope they stay consistent and focusseed. A very strong team.
Thing is Bayerns have always been great, but underrated.
Bayerns defense isn't as great as you think. If you watch their games fully, they have been quite lucky to not concede more. I would argue teams are just super afraid of them, and thus when they are in goalscoring opportunities, they are under a lot of pressure mentally. But as the season goes, there will be teams who will be mentally strong enough to hurt Bayern. It's their attack and press that is otherworldly
Thiago, Coutinho, Perisic and Martinez are gone and they only got Sane. 4 top players left the Club, maybe 5 with Alaba and they only got one great Player with Sane. Not a smart choice, when you think of defending all 3 titles and the short schedule with many games
Martinez and Coutinho played partial roles last season. Bayern were still dominant without them. Perisic was great in all honesty but I guess Sane is an improvement - also Kingsley Coman seems will be benched this season as well because of Sane. Thiago is the only real loss here he was my favorite player next to Lewandowski. But Kimmich has adapted well to mid Bayern and new younger players incoming as well.

And it's just a question of how deep the bank is, how many players you have in general and what level these players are at. I would rather have a Thiago Martinez Coutinho Perisic as a replacement, which I can fall back on, than just sané now. They gave up four players and only got sané. That's just a bad trade. Annette have to keep at least Perisic, and have to bring in another top player to compensate for these four departures. It's easy in math. Now there is no more Coutinho on the bench, who can still be brought in the second half, now there is no more Perisic, because he plays from the beginning, now there is no more Thiago, because he played from the beginning, but only and alone sané, the other additions are absolutely not him in this league like Thiago or Coutinho.
If I give up four good players, then I have to bring in a lot of good players. Very easily. And above all in the current time, with so many games coming up and where you want to defend three titles, you can't just bring in a player, but give up four or maybe even five good players. Alone. Mathematically this is absolutely bad. There are now defacto three players less who were able to bring a really good quality to the field.
Sané came for Thiago, that's how I see it. So as equal quality. But who will replace Coutinho? Who will replace Perisic? Who will replace Martinez? And who will replace Alaba in the worst case? There was no new addition for these three or four people.
After all, FC Bayern is now learning something new, in the past these players all went for free, now you get at least some transfer fee for the players who leave. In the past, you usually gave them away because you had such a bad transfer policy.
One top player or a good loaner is definitely needed, otherwise the bench is really very, very thin when it comes to quality and quantity.

What we are witnessing the start of a decade of Bayern European dominance. The fact they can ship out a player of Thiago's quality, while bringing in new blood and still batter 8 goals past a decent side, bodes well for their future.

@@vitanus There's some interesting young talents on their way in, but I think they lack senior world class talent depth. Coutinho and Perisic was good last season. Two out was only replaced by one in. Thiago out for no replacement as well. On top of that, alot of players are aging (out). Müller and Lewandowski will probably have another great season, but Boateng, I think, is done. These players will have to be replaced, and I don't think the youngsters will be ready in time. I don't think Tolisso is good enough. I'll be looking at what Bayern brings in before the window closes.

Also dont underestimate Cuisance, he is a viable option, as well as Zerkzee and Muisala (less than Cuisance and Zerkzee obviously but still)

I'm glad Kimmich is playing Midfield he plays so fit with this position more than right back winger.
Personally I wish Muller finishing to be improve a bit because sometimes he should take a shot more than pass and sometimes when he took the shot it wasn't sharp or hard(strong) enough.
But muller Pros nowadays is annoyer, space finder and passing and most importantly it is Leadership and mentality which encourage the members to keep pressing.
And our defense is really poor yes according to our tactic too we open attack really much and push our defense to high so we rely on Neuer instead but if we have good defend player like Van Dijk or etc. it would be really great and Bayern would be so much harder for the opponent to defeat. :<

@Nota Troll its not just EPL. even teams from other leagues looks better before such as barca, real, ac milan inter milan etc. its just that now most tactics require every players to be able to do almost everything, like fullbacks knowing how to go forward, attackers knowing how to defend and pressure, goalkeepers knowing how to do the right passes and much more.
