Cheers mate, next calm day will be very telling.them ft's did way better than in the old barrel. They should absolutely stack in the calm or when I'm trying to hit stuff.
Cheers mate, I love all the testing. It's a real eye opener and makes a change on here than seeing micro groups stamped, to get real world downrange cards.😉
Great video as usual. I love the idea of getting the correct pellet for your barrel that will improve the accuracy, consistency and confidence in the gun. Just another element less to have to think about!
Brilliant video as usual... Baracuda FT in 4.50 are just amazing in my P15.. well certainly out to 50m that's as far as I've tried so far .. such a shame about JSB quality issues as Range master sovereign where my go to pellets but new batches suddenly wouldn't group
It's a bit frustrating really with the jsb, however the heavies do seem a bit easier to find good batches ,maybe they make less and there's less dies or something 🤔 I'm hoping that I can switch to h&n for some of the rigs but so far decent batches of jsb seem to have the slight edge still,in my stuff atleast... 😉
After years of using AA Fields 4.52, we have both just changed to B8's 4.51 in our FWB800's and found they did not need a re zero and are performing as well as our old AA's. Also find they do take a little more wind, but seem to be predicable on our clubs FT circuit. As many have found the Barracuda FTs are our pellet of choice for the clubs 25 yard BR
Have you had chance to push the ft's out to 55yds or further? I've got a load of the AA fields to last for a while but the ft's look pretty predictable so far🤔
@@tillysgunstocks so far only "tested" on the clubs FT course .. I did sit at the known "its 54.5" yard full size kill target for half a dozen shots, missed one which was all me as it was pretty windless yesterday. I didn't score a card yesterday but Sue did a 35/40 which is same as her last card with AA (she is well out of practice as she rarely shoots in winter when its raining)
Hi, I love watching your extensive pellet testing videos. I’m always wondering which pellet would be best for my HW100, and conflicted about my actual ability to make a judgment because I’m a relatively new shooter. So here’s an item you might find interesting and could possible try it for content. I was watching the latest Hot Air video, which was a Q&A. Pellet testing was included, with this method being suggested. Clamp the rifle (he used a mill clamp) then fire 5 shots at close range (4 yards) then compare the results, I’ve tried it by making a wooden clamping method and think it works. My results for spread were Super Field - 7.2mm QYS - 5.0mm and the surprise for me was H&N Field Target Trophy 4.5mm. I think this method may quickly identifies if your barrel likes the pellet. I’d previously rejected the Field Trophies as not as good as QYS.
Morning chap, H&N seem to be showing some promise, great group & spread tutorial, I have a personal liking for CZ barrels, it starts being somewhat different further out though doesn't it 😁 great content, look forward to the follow up, cheers buddy, Jon 👍Hawkes eye TV 👍😁👌
The long range work really punishes even minor Imperfections in the setups. Hopefully some of the h&n will work and make my life a bit easier ..🤔 The cz barrels will often run the harder pellets pretty well especially things like the old accupells..
Alright bud. Just a heads up on pellets. N and M product from Sheffield has some of the best pellets i have had recently and by far the cheapest especially in bulk. Even offering specific die numbers for 8.44s. I type in Sheffield air rifles in Google to get them up. Just got 10 tins of jbs h really pleased with how they arrived. They were so cheap i ended up spending around 200 getting all sorts of lead goodies 😅 Great video bud looking forward to the next one👍
Nice shooting, interesting set of results, always nice when they follow your expectations. Don't use H & N pellets a lot myself, may be worth taking a look at some.
In the winter I'll be embarking on some Indoor shooting, we'll get to see how bad a shot I really am...but itl be great to really see how the h&n perform in more controlled environments for sure. ive done loads of head sizing on different pellets exacts are always all over the place mostly even a tin of 4.53 are actually 4.50. jsb heavies are usually more consistent just .1mm low. the h&n ft and 8s are by a long way the most consistent so fit a bigger barrel better
