This video is dangerous for me because now I feel like I am now also an expert on this topic, when I am in fact just overly confident and in possession of sharp shears. 😂 In all seriousness, excellent tutorial, thank you
@@brittanyraeprater by the way, I ended up cutting my own hair and following this tutorial to the best of my abilities and I think it turned out great! So thank you very much! 😃
Omg same! I have naturally curly hair that I felt was untamamble so I've been rocking wigs. Now I feel like I am a PROFFESSIONAL and am going to try this tomorrow 😳 wish me luck 🤣🤣🤣
This is the most detailed and accurate hair cut lesson I've ever watched ! What a teacher you are ! This is what I wanted my entire life in all the salons I had to pay for my disappointment!!! thank you !!!
I’ve been a hair stylist for over 12 years and this is a really great curly hair tutorial. I use this video every time before I fly back to the East Coast to cut my grandmother’s hair. She has a very fixed income and can’t afford good haircuts, so she gets jacked up or her hair is bananas long by the time I get to her. She absolutely loooooooves this cut on her, and I gotta say in my professional opinion It’s really perfect on her.
Thanks so much. We are in lockdown at the moment for months unable to get a haircut. I did this for my mum and she feels like a new person. Followed it exactly like you said and she has an even haircut and I had no idea what I was doing…so that says how good your video was!!!! Thanks so much!!!!!
Excellent explanation. At first I thought it was too ambitious for an unqualified self cutter with a long history of doing my own curly short-medium length, fine hair with scissors that are a little blunt! But I did it. Hair still air drying so looking forwards to seeing the end result! Might go back to tweak tomorrow. Thank you for tutoring us.
this was insanely helpful as I tackled yet another at home haircut. it gave me enough confidence to start adding in more layers over time. thanks so much!! :)
Omg! This is the first time that I see my actual hair type on youtube 😱 those curls look exactly like mine now that I had it cut really short. It has grown a lot and I am currently in the “awkward phase” of hair growth lol. But these curls are 100% identical to mine ❤️ I can’t wait for it to grow a bit longer so that I can have this cut 😍
I need this woman in my life 💞 This is what I want to do in my curly hair!! But unfortunately I can't find someone to do and you can't trust just anyone!! I leave in England,if was in America I would came to you to do my hair... What a great job you did!!! Beautiful 😍
Uauuuu voce arrasa garota é muito show esse seu corte que talento menina! maravilhosa sua explicação!..Porque nos salões nenhum profissional faz isso quando dizemos querremos um corte nessa pegada🤦🏻
I ❤LOVE THE STYLING its so good i never knew that we could style curly hairs like this But i hand a doubt what should i do if i just want face framing bangs instead of bangs
It really depends! It’s all dependent on what the client wants most say not to cut it wet because curly hair is known to shrink up while it dries so you kinda never know how much you are cutting off and what the result will be when dried because curly hair dries differently than straight hair but of your client wears their hair straight or blown out it’s best to cut wet for more accuracy and so the cut looks good both ways.
OMG. This looks incredible!! Are you in LA by chance? This appears to be my hair texture as well, it's been a headache finding someone to cut my hair properly. It's really heartbreaking.
My hair looks like the " before" and I'm a white chick. I kinda messed with my bangs that my stylist didnt cut right and it's been messed up ever since. I might be leaving my hair curly cause you cant see the uneven parts very much. Cute style I like it mine might not be this curly but I could def pull it off.
I have to grow my hair back out first but will def do this tutorial next time!!! Still scared of the slide technique but time to jump in the deep end 😛
I NEED you to do my hair like this ASAP!! Lol 😂😂 but like seriously I wish I could come to you!! I haven't been able to find a good hair stylist where I am and I don't know why it's so hard to find ppl who know who to cut curly hair correctly lol 💜 absolutely beautiful!! Lol
Okay I am so late to the party 🎊 I have curly hair an since moving from THE CITY I haven’t found some one to give me a curly cut I can get a nice trim on straight hair so this is so helpful think U just saved my curly hair life 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👌🏽
i really want my hair trimmed just like this because ny hair texture used to be wavy when younger but now when i buzzed my hair ut started to cone rlly frizzy and curly and i still dont know how to take care of it, the manequine had mostly how my hair is and i loved the after results and i really would want my hair like this cz thats my exact hair length. i would love to have my hair like this and idk if i should have someone do it for me or for myself. thanks so much! this helps SO much 💕🙏
I love this! This haircut it's what I've been trying to explain for the longest time so the question is. If we want to get this haircut what is it called so the stylist know what we mean anyway thanks 🙏
I'd set up a consultation first and pull up this video on your phone so you can show them. See if they'll do it. Or just bring the phone to the appointment with you and show them.
Okay, a little confused- When you pull the hair closer to the top, are you using a guide or free handing it? As in like- are you cutting all the new pieces the same length as the first piece you cut? Hopefully this makes sense
This is so beautiful!!!! Can you tell me, what colour this is? Is it like brownish or dark blond? Is ist cool or warm? To me it looks like a dark blond brown but ash... Does this make sense 😂
How does one explain this to a hairdresser? I have really curly hair a lot curlier then our gorgeous model here lol But it’s really fine, especially in the front/top of my scalp. So my curls look nice once dry… for the most part. But the front and top are so thin/fine they have like nothing holding it together. If that makes sense lol idk it’s hard to explain. It just looks like a bunch of fly always because there isn’t enough hair to give it any volume so it just hangs there. I use (prescription oral minoxidil from my dermatologist) to help make it fuller again. but yeah I don’t know if it’s helping. And I just want a cute cut so I can actually wear my curls. Right now I wear it in buns pulled back. Or if I do wear it curly I have to pull the top back in cute little clips. If I wear it in a side part the top layers are so short it looks weird.
I wanna do this haircut for my 4 n half yrs old daughter. Her curls looks bad and got no volume, also on the top side stays so matted ...she def need a cut as the top parts on the 90 degree angle are longer than the length. Also her hair is fine and thin.....so in weekend i ll open again the tutorial and do the job😎👍🏼 Thank you for this tutorial,is the best i ve watched
Loveeee it, practiced it once on my manequin and it came out great, I am in beuty school and finding videos that show you steps by steps and clearly its a plus. Great video. 🥰
All my sources tell me I'm supposed to cut my curly hair dry, but why do you cut it wet? Great tutorial btw. The best one I've seen that goes into detail like that!
I just cut my crazy super long curly hair on Saturday because it’s been falling out and if I don’t wash it tame it every 2 days it gets super knotted so now I have short curly uneven hair and I’m going to try and cut it this way
I want hair cuts like this but I have o idea if my curls will look good in them especially since I barely style bc my conditioner and shampoo is *chef's kiss*
The weaving is no different than using thinning shears which break up the line. You won’t even notice it next time as it grows out through the interior of your hair. If I did this on visit one, depending on how long it is to visit two I may skip the interior thinning on visit two.
Great question! The weaving creates internal layers that are different lengths causing the curls to stack up, reduce weight, and add volume where needed. Each time you refresh the cut you may need to add them in different areas or skip the weaving till the next cut when the curls become “flat” again. :)
THIS IS THE CUT IVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR FOREVER ❤️❤️❤️. I am 61 years old and need this cut. How do I find a stylist to do this. DO YOU LIVE IN NC 😂. I would book right now. I don’t have a regular stylist as of yet, can’t find one. Would a stylist be upset if I brought this video to them?. Thank you thank ya thank you
Hi, this just what I need, I go to the salon and ask for something like this, but ended up with blow-dry hairstyle, Im always disappointed😞... where is your place located!?
Im so scared to do this for myself. i want to be a hair dresser when im older so i guess its good for practice😭😭 Update: I finished the cut ab an hour ago and i was freaking out that it looked bad because ive never gotten a cut that wasnt a flat u shape. No volume. The fear is wearing off now and i really love the cut😭💞💞
I hope you reply but I’m thinking of cutting my hair bc it’s dyed and I feel like it damaged my curls and 😭I wanna know if it’ll be more damaged if I get it cut or like would it help get my curls back to how it used to be?
I do this on myself and after I have a guide I'll travel it back and layer the "inside", she is doing a weaving technique I do a 90 to get more volume as my hair is thinning.
Hello, I think this is the first curly hair haircut explanation that makes sense for me. Does the debulk tehnique work on very long hair? Or should the cuts be made lower along the hair? The idea is if one can use this method but keep the length so that when you put the hair in a ponytail, the hair won't stick out randomly? Thank you . ( ^_^ )
Which way do you twist the hair? Is it always to the right? I tried twisting my sons hair to help keep the shape and sometimes I feel like I can’t tell which way to twist. 🤷🏽♀️😅
