If a human were to strap on wings, you could fly on titan, because the moon has such a low gravity.
Look at that menu image. There is barely any athmospehre left. They just wanted to make the game sound spacy.

Other moons in the solar system with hypothesised subsurface oceans include Europa and Enceladus.
@@ManyATrueNerd I have never heard that it was a strong possibility for liquid water on subsurface titan. Ive always heard that titan is interesting because its very rich in organic compounds and could easily be a planet capable of supporting methane related chemistries. the moons with confirmed subsurface oceans are Enceladus and Europa. their oceans have been confirmed because they have shifting ice plates on the surface indicating that the moon is not frozen to the core. theyve even found organic compounds in the geyser plumes of enceladus.
@@HailKosm that was also my impression, that Europa was the main one among those of interest, re: watery oceans. Astrobio-related stuff's not really in my wheelhouse exactly, though, so I could be super full of shit haha! 🤷🏻♀️
As well as the art style the soundtrack to the game sounded pretty bloody good!
Jon, as a Comparative Literature student I have to say, you gave me a very painful flashback with that title.
I bought this game a few weeks back and played through the tutorial and actually had a lot of fun with it. It looks like they've added some new buildings too.

Your StarCraft analogy at the beginning is fairly apt. Mineral fields and pylons? I can hear "You must construct additional pylons" and "Not enough Minerals" in my head already.

At the end he kind of described the game "space haven", which is basically a mix of rim world and FTL. But that game is also in a very early "early access" stage.
The conversion center reminds me of the MI6 building on the thames.
Looks suspiciously like an Epic Exclusive.
They added roads and the like today (2 June), in an update. Looking forward to hopefully seeing you play this again.

In titan it literally rains liquified methane, so basically it rains fuel and the lakes are made of fuel

There's no water on Titan - liquid methane, like a rivery fart...on the up side, there's a small chance of farty life there!
If I remember correctly the sky of titan is made of methane. Meaning the roles of fuel and oxygen would be reversed. You could be able to find 'fuel' just in the sky and would always have to carry around tanks of oxygen.
The burned methane could be useful to because burned methane turns into water and CO2. So you can grow trees! Meaning this 'grim future' could have started out great with good terraforming efforts and stuff. But they failed to keep the oxygen and methane seperate or something (and I don't need to tell you what problems that could cause)
This is of course a simple theory of mine. I should mention I don't have any kind of degree in science because I'm to unmotivated to watch anything else than cheap quick science video's by various youtubers.
Presumably then, pollution is not "the air is hard to breathe now", because it was always hard to breathe. Instead, it's "the air is harder to burn".

The title of this game reminds me of Rapture from Bioshock.
Not water, methane. It’s so cold there that methane exists as a liquid naturally. Europa is the water one.

Do rebels have citizens and the ability to expand as well? If so, I've found a use for waste; chemical weapons. Place your burners behind enemy lines and watch the enemy suffocate. It's not sadistic, just thematic. :)
This would also make a nice 3rd-person game, something like a Fallout style game.
Damn this game is fascinating yet grim :O seems like a wet dream of every greedy corporation on the planet! :D
I quite like the indoors building system, so it's a shame that the game seemingly drops it after the first 10 minutes. Would be fun to see that expended on more, maybe by introducing semi-random "block" shapes so you can't just coast on a single room layout

I think that, confusingly, Thanos was from a completely different world, that also happened to be called Titan.
Okay, so in the original trailer they showed a huge, planet-spanning metropolis. Do we know if the devs have moved away from that setting or if that's just how it's going to look in endgame?

The graphics and the perspective mean it could be anywhere. With Titan being a very distant guess. They just wanted to make their citybuilder(?) sound spacy with that crazy stunt of just calling it Titan. It's kinda funny. That menu image also looks nothing like Titan. Even if you magically remove most of the athmosphere you allegedly still use for ...
Also: another interesting game (even with the Titan nonsense) hidden away from an audience on china store.

You first have to build an internal energy-producing unit in your HQ, then you get larger plot-sized units outside when you get expanding, so can't you demolish those HQ units later to make space for more "citizens"?
Unless the HQ-exclusive units and plot-exclusive units serve their respective internal and external functions?

Last time I checked, Titan has oceans of liquid methane, not water.
I'm certainly in that tried it too early camp... I'm looking forward to future videos on it to see if it's worth giving another go.
